Uh oh I feel the urge to start posting silly threads again.

Tony I thought you learned your lesson. I guess I was wrong.

See www.fca-se.org/concours.htm

An update for the series will be coming out starting with the either August or September FCA News.

I can't believe nobody has piped up about floor mats or license plate frames. Wait, I just did!

I've tried them all, and found out that Zaino Z1 Swirl remover applied before Z2 polish compound is the best.. The chemical based compound also lasts far longer than any carnauba based waxed I ever used..

I also recommend their leather cleaner (nice pleasant new car smell) and their soap wash..

My favorite wax job is when my wife does it.

A bird pooped on my Porsche. I'm going to run it through a car wash. All that hand washing and waxing and funky freshness is not all it's cracked up to be. I think it should be mandatory to thoroughly detail and exotic once a month or so if it sees daily use, but in the meantime, carwashes suit them fine.

Cheers

I have an older 5 series BMW. I have a mobile
detail come out twice a year to do a complete
service. When I used to have a Porsche I would
wax it myself.

Don't sweat it. What kind of car do you have and are you really taking the time to wax it yourself? I used to run the Porsche through that "touchless" carwash behind the gas station next door to Trader Joes most of the time. If I had time, I'd take it to "The Hand" on Ventura Blvd for a complete detail every once in a while. In five years, I've never once waxed it myself. Then again, it's no Ferrari either.

Tony, click on "SEARCH" at the bottom of this page, enter "wax," and you'll see what he means.
