Lung They already have. Long term rates are 40 basis points lower from the time of their last meeting. Best Jim |

Was planning to sell my 348 but now have serious second thoughts since there is nothing out there that can replace it for me. Can't see feds cutting rates, there justification of jump starting the economy is wearing thin. |

Lung, I test drove a 2001 3200 and it felt like a jagaur sedan, the front end felt real loose and a ton of cowl shake. So not suprise to hear of your experience, I would think twice about tracking the maserati given its auto transmission, I doubt it will handle the high stress. I bet we'll see you back in a ferrari real soon! |

As it has turned out... it the transmission gasket and seal that is causing the leak. We hoisted the car up, the mechanics went straight for the seal...and true enough...it was wet. I was later told that of the 6 Maserati in Malaysia, 3 have already come in for the same problem. What can I say? |

Took the car out onto the Formula One track in Malaysia yesterday with the Ferrari Club. Here is my experience... Took to the track with the car full of gas, my set of golf clubs (yeah I know its illegal to have 14 clubs in the bag) in the trunk, my change of clothes also in the trunk. Had it on normal mode with ASR on. It was a SLUG on track!!! ASR kicking in too early on all corners. The car had acceleration lag (mine is an auto), ASR kicking in on acceleration too. Went back into the pits after 2 laps... Got rid of the luggage, golf bag, etc. Switched to sports mode. Went back on track...much better handling, but the car understeered a lot, ASR still kicked in, but much later now. Couldn't really do much about the auto transmission...still slow out of corners. Came back into the pits after 5 laps...THE CAR STARTED SMOKING!!!! The mechanics looked at it...initially suspected excess engine oil being burnt up...but the smoke was coming from the middle of the car, not the exhaust. Therefore - Transmisson fluid!! The white smoke only appeared when I drove the car hard. The mechanics suspect one of two things... 1. transmission seal leak or 2. overfill of transmission fluid as I just had the car serviced 2 weeks ago. Was adviced to stop pushing the car and to take the car in for a check tomorrow. Never had the chance to test the car with ASR off. But not a great experience with the car on track... but then its probably coz its an auto. I drove back doing no more than 140KMH.... no smoke. No oil patch under the car in my garage. I am hoping its just overfilled trans fluid. Will let you guys know the outcome. |
