I owned a 2002 Spyder Cambio for 4 months. It had many minor issues, which Maserati has addressed for 2003. It also had severe cowl shake, passed through the steering column, on relatively SMOOTH roads. It was bad enough (to me) that I got rid of it. I have driven the 2003, and it is improved but still, IMHO, bad. It is otherwise a great car--I would not hesitate to purchase a coupe. I would try to arrange an extended test drive of a Spyder, however, to make sure that the shake doesn't bother you. |

Hi Alberto, I've been driving a red coupe for 2 months now & am very satisfied. My company car is a 500S and I like the interior on the Maser, particularly the use of leather, better. In comparisons, the Maser's engine is generally selected as superior to the Merc. The Merc generally scores higher points for projections that it will have a higher resale value in the future. The Spyder has been reported to have some cowl shake on rough roads, passed through the steering column. Supposedly this was improved in 03 compared to 02. Attached are some pics of my red CC coupe.
