Doody that's a good way of putting it - "they didn't put in the effort they could have". I agree.

I feel like they probably had a great design, and "shittied it down a little" because it wasn't allowed to upstage the Murcie.

Yes, I'm a lot less refined than Doody here :-)

I can't get over the feeling that they had a really outstanding overall concept and some nice lines on the car, but they truncated some of them to fugly the car up a little, lest Murcie owners worldwide drop their gray poupon in shock.

the lambo us people are based here in MA. i've been fortunate enough to wander through their shop a few times.

i think the murcie is impressive stuff. you can disagree with the styling choices they made, but you can't really disagree with the performance and capabilities.

a few weeks ago i had the chance to compare the gallardo and murcie side by side (a diablo was out front too).

there's something about the gallardo that feels a bit too "generic". certainly the interior is a tad on the plain side. the exterior design to me feels "barely lambo" if you know what i mean.

for comparison, i don't imagine that pininfarina spends any less time on the 8s -vs- the 12s, even though the latter cost 50% more. the gallardo has a bit of a feel like they could have worked harder to make it feel like a lambo.

but that's just one man's opinion on the aesthetics. from what i've seen on apper, it sure smells like it'll get out of its own way and then some! it'll be very interesting to watch how they depreciate.

doody.

I did not drive one but got to see a bunch at Monterey in August. Most dealers are charging a premium but Lamborghini Atlanta tells me they only charge list.

I ordered a Murcielago from them and got a reasonable price. 'Hope to get it by December or January.

Me, me!

I'll probably make up my mind after driving one this coming October in the Running of the Bulls in Tejas! We'll see what kind of drive I can get out of it.

Cheers

I think Allen is waiting on one. I am pretty sure Tako is getting two of them.
