I think I'll be out there, but not in the Pantera. I'm actually dropping it off at a shop tomorrow to get some repairs and upgrades. I'll keep an eye out for ya Rob. I'll take you up on the 328 ride offer! I've driven a 308, and ridden in a 355. Those are my only two initimate Ferrari experiences. Gotta expand the list!

The 328 is Red and my SRX7 is Blue stripes on White #6. All should be close to my pits with wife's black Toyota Tundra.

Thanks Rob, that sounds great. I will probably not be out there until sometimes around noon. I might try to see if I can register and drive on Sunday. It appears that the weather might not be as bad as originally anticipated.
Looking forward to meeting you. By the way, what color is you 328 so I can find you on Saturday?

I would be happy to take you around the track, if not in your car, my 328 will be out there. I'm mainly doing the racing group in my SRX7, but I've already paid for a few DE sessions in "other" cars. I know Shannon quite well and she shouldn't have any problems with which car is driven. However, I'm not sure if their schedule will fit into your busy day.

I am planning on coming to MSR for the DE event tommorrow. My son has 3 select hockey games also , so I will probably not be able to stay but a couple of hours in between games.
I have driven several times in DE events at MSR , TMS and TWS in my Viper, but never in my new F1 360. Is there anyone who is registered tomorrow who would like to take it around the track tomorrow (with me in the right seat)?
Oh, I'll bet it would have to go through tech first. Any ideas?

heck no, we're not dumb hick NASCAR boys that have to have "perfect" weather to only put their foot down and go in circles. We got the skills to drive in the cold and rain and hit tow trucks like I did at Hallett.

Well now, I saw the weather report this evening (Thursday) and the weekend is looking like crap. Snow flurries and rain on Saturday. What effect does this have on the racing schedule, Rob? Do you guys still hit the track? Oh yeah, y'all have windows and heaters, so you'll be warm and dry when you're spinning off the track!

Seriously though, does that kind of weather keep you home on the internet?

Just got word the DE's aren't full yet, so you can still enter. First time DE'ers will have to attend the school on Friday night and then have an instructor in the passenger seat most of the weekend. It's a blast and you'll get to watch the racing action in between your groups.

Well, here's the schedule, if not participating, come out to watch me race and then let me haul you around in the 328 during the non-race groups. Here's the schedule...

9:32-9:47 Group 5 Mazdas Race Practice
11:04-11:19 Group 5 Mazdas Race Qualification
12:32-1:22 Group 1 & 2 DE - Rob can give rides in the Ferrari.
2:46-3:16 Group 5 Mazdas Race
4:00-5:00 Group 1 & 2 DE - Rob can give rides in the Ferrari.

Directions...

The Motorsport Ranch is approximatley 14 minutes southwest of Ft. Worth, Texas. Proceed south on Highway 377 from Fort Worth. After 14 miles (from Loop 820) you will come to a traffic light at the intersection of Highway 171 in the town of Cresson. Proceed straight through the light approximately 1/2 mile further. The entrance to the MotorSport Ranch is on the left, just before the divided highway begins. Turn left onto the access road and proceed to the top of the hill.

They should run on time, but be there 30-45 minutes ahead of time to be sure. I might have some family out too, but there should be enough time to give everyone at least 2 laps around in the Ferrari. I'll have an extra helmet, but please bring one if you have one.

Let me know if any questions.

It would be my pleasure. Most likely it would be in my 328 or BMW, it's a hastle to install the passenger seat in the RX7, but I may do that if Jennie isn't available to bring down one of the other cars.

I'm going to coming out to MSR to watch a little racing too. (Probably with Tillman) Rob, if you wouldn't mind letting me hold down that right side seat, I'd like to see if you can scare me to death. If you don't mind.

I just recovered my car today after being stolen in Houston so, I'm going to miss this event. I'll be at TWS later this year. Until then, that will give me time to get the car back together. Have fun everyone.

I think free to get in, they'll make you sign a waiver at the gate though. Just an autocross legal helmet, if I remember I'll bring my extra one.

While I can't do the DE I'd like to come out for a bit on Saturday. What are the spectator costs, and what gear would be required for bumming rides?

If I can get my clutch in before then, I'll be out there. MSR is a real fun track. I will at least try to come out and watch/snap some pics.

NASA is running a weekend of racing and DE's at MSR Feb. 8-9th. http://www.nasatx.com .

The DE fills up fast, so I would sign up early.

Chicks Dig It Racing will running our Spec. RX7's in the race group. I will probably have Jennie bring out the 328 for a few DE sessions too. It's a great time, even if you don't want to run, come out to watch. We always put on a great show racing (last time a Spec Miata flipped in front of me and two other cars were totaled) and I can give rides if you dare in the DE's.
