Rosso Corsa 355 Spider F1 going west on 190 and then onto 35 south about 6:25 Thursday evening. He as going slower than the rest of the traffic and was getting passed a lot. Looked like he was really enjoying the ride. Had the top up, though.

I went and knocked on the 355 Spyder guys door and no one came, so I just left the FCA DFW schedule and Poker Run entry. He called Jennie the next day when I was at work. He sells exotics in the Southlake area and was really interested in events for him and his friends. I will try to call him back today.

And back to the point of the thread,

I saw a red (naturally) 355 or 348 eastbound on 121 this morning. I could not tell which it was due to the concrete divider.

Very damn funny Mr Strahan! As a matter of fact, at 100mph, it tracks straight and true with hands off of the wheel!

Boy ONE little mistake around here, you're marked for life! Wonder if I can find a rider on the poker run?

355 Spyder right down the street from me in Southlake. Never seen it and this is the same route Jennie and I take several times a week on our run. Only about a 1/4 mile away parked in the garage of about a $325k house. When it's dark I'm going to slip a Poker Run entry in their box.

BMW Z1 was the predecessor to the Z3. It was built in the late 80's and was not built for importation to the US. It had the 2.5 liter 168hp engine from the 325i. The doors are unique in that they do not open out but actually are on runners that let them drop down, staying inside a channel. They drop down about 18 inches and you step over into the cockpit. It was a unique car. I rode in one in Germany in 1991. Drew a lot of attention.

Saw the same 250 yesterday on Knox. Didn't have time to get out and check it out though. From behind, it looked a little replicar like. But didnt get hard enough look to tell for sure.

If it was the real thing, thumbs up to the owner for leaving it unattended on the side of the street.

OT- BMW Z1 3 spots down at the same time.

I know it's not DFW spotting, but I just had to tell you guys that I just got back from London, and I think I saw at least 10 360's there and 1 355 within two days. It was crazy, plus plenty of Maserati's, TVR's, Lotuses, and the ubiquitous Bentley/RR's. Hopefully, the weather getting better in Big D will start getting people out in their cars...

That yellow Pantera was most likely John Holmes' (yes, it's his real name) '71 Pantera, as we both met up today down in Addison. You can see it at www.dfwpanteras.com , click on the this past Christmas's luncheon.

I think I saw the same red 550 yesterday at the Tollway and Mockingbird around 5 pm.

Today, I saw a yellow Pantera in Lewisville at noon, a red 355 spider on George Bush going west around 3pm, and a yellow Mondial spider on Greenville around 6:30 pm. A good day for sightings...

I don't really mention spotting the vipers here anymore, there's just too many of them. But the color was nice

Burgundy 550 near turning from Plano Parkway onto the Tollway yesterday. I tried to get a better look, but alas I was in my FIAT and the odds of catching him were rather low..

Drove the Maserati to work today, and of course did not see anything ;)

Just saw a yellow lambo murci at keller springs and tollway. Young brown haired guy driving it. Had it in 2nd gear with high rpm's then kept gassing it. sounded like a turbine. not much throaty sound to it like i thought it might have. Looked pretty cool though. First time to see one in person.

You're right.... as a matter of fact, if I had a spare $1MIL in the bank, I'd probably be driving a 360 around in the ice and snow too. I guess you now know why I don't drive my 328 much even when the weather is great. :-)

Agreed money must be no concern to him, but I do admire the guy for using it. It is his 4th ferrari I heard so he must like them and he drives it every day rain or shine.

I mean if ya gotta sit in traffic and ice you might as well look and feel great doing it!

Jim S, pretty amazing when money is no object, it really makes no difference. To him, it could have been a '92 Toyota Corolla. When the weather clears, he'll probably take it over to the the full-service brush carwash and beat the crap out of the paint. Who cares (to him)?

Yipes... it means so much more to me than that. To me, it's an honor to own my "measly" 328 in a world where the new ones cost 5 times more than mine... I feel like the short term keeper of a rather special vehicle which will be around well after I enjoy my time with it. Just a different world.

I just got back from a trip to LA, so this may not count, but what the hell.

I went by Newport Auto and saw an F40 w/ less than 200 miles, and my very first 512M. The 512 blew me away, it was damn nice. They also had an assortment of 360's and 355's. I saw a 456 on the road with a "Steve Harris Imports" plate surround, the same place I bought my car. Funny, it's in Salt Lake City.

Beverly Hills must have more Mercedes per capita than any place in the USA. Every other car.

I saw a nifty red Lotus today, and a nifty red 308, and a nifty red 328....

I had a nice conversation with a gentleman in a Cobra replica in Lewisville.

Also, on Legacy today: A grey Viper coupe, a red Viper roadster, and the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile :-)

It must be national "Bring out your Toys" day

Just saw two 328's and a 308... I guess that doesn't count. But, onthe way back from lunch, a red 348 spider going north on I-35 near Mockingbird.

Also, last night, a dark 355 at Houston's (NW hwy and Preston).
