Did anybody go to the Stars and Cigars event this past Thursday? There were several hundred people at that one...

So you think Ron D. meant "fine cigars" won't be smoked at this event, only regular and so-so cigars? Sarcasm is good.

Where did you hear you can't smoke 'em at this event? I've always heard you could, that's why they had to change venues. Wouldn't keep me from going, but I'd like to know what's going on.

There is a special security detail assigned at each event to see that she never makes it through the door.

Any of you guys into cigars? Cigar Aficionado magazine does an annual road trip at a few places around the nation for cigar buffs. I've always wanted to go, but end up missing the date. It's coming up on 25 March if anyone's interested. Entry is $150, but it includes 25 cigars, eats & drinks. Here are some details below...

"The "Big Smoke" is an evening to join your fellow cigar lovers in an atmosphere of good cigars, good drinks, good food, and great companionship.
Your ticket price includes more than 25 handmade cigars from the premium cigar producers that attend each "Big Smoke" across the country.

Walking through the many exhibit booths, you will be able to sample a variety of premium spirits, wines and beer. You can indulge in delicious food from local restaurants -- all included in your ticket price.

Additionally, there will be exhibitors with an extraordinary selection of cigar accessories for you to investigate."

It's pretty funny, but they had to relocate it out of Dallas proper because of the Laura Miller memorial smoking ban.

Here's the website info.
