Should have made it clear - Robt. Rodgers = Shadetree. His work is unhurried, impeccable and more than reasonable. Besides, with all the rare and unusual Italian cars he gets in there every trip is a treat. Robt. loves the cars as much as we do. I routinely drive 220 miles from Houston to Shadetree for service. -ken- |

If you are anywhere near the Dallas area I would have Robert @ Shadetree do the inspection. He is simply very ... picky. I purchased my 365 in Florida and had Tim Stanford, who is known throughout the East Coast do the inspection. When the car arrived in Dallas Robert found over 6K worth of additional items in less than 10 minutes. The simple fact is that Robert will give you the straight skinny, with no regards to "making or killing the deal" Robert has done work on my cars for years. He also does work for friends with 328s, Daytonas, 348 Challenge..

I would recomend Norwood, FoD doesn't do PPI's. Shadetree would be good, but I don't know how close they are. |

Man, you guys are quick. In two days, I've gotten leads on five cars! So my question now is, where do I get a PPI in Dallas? FoD, Norwood? Anybody have info on a place called Shadetree Enginetrics (not you Bob)? Thanks. |

Alan: The late series 328s also have a lot of updated front suspension components, which were being developed for the 348 and, in typical Ferrari fashion, added as they became available. Some people don't like the 'convex' wheels which have nothing to do with the ABS, but make room for this new suspension - I of course defer. -ken- '89 328 GTB 78881 |

I'm just finishing up on a real everything included 30K service on a very beautiful '86' Rd/Tn with 26K miles...the owner is going to sell it or his 348 sometime this year...he was making noises a little higher than your numbers but it might be worth a look. You are welcome to call or stop by the shop. Pinnacle Motorsports 1499 N. Post Oak Rd. #201 Houston, Tx. 713-682-0370

50k is plenty - somewhere in the 40s is prob about right these days. allocate 5k for unforeseen issues and you are on your way |

Year is unimportant to me. If it's just the ABS, I can take it or leave it. |

Alan, what year do you want? The late 88's and 89's will be higher. You can get a perfect car for $50k easily if you want an 86-88, but that would be low for a pristine 89. The best 89 I know of is BobD's, he might sell if you'd bribe him with girls and beer? Or just beer? |

After lots of thinking, I've decided to get a 328. I've wanted one for years, but you guys have finally convinced me to do it. So I'm asking here if any of you know of any good cars for sale? The perfect car would be a red/tan GTS with less than 30k miles and a recent major service with belts. But extra low miles are not as important as condition (i.e. mechanicals, cosmetics, full service history, etc.). I would think that a _perfect_ car could be had for $50k. I'd like to start my search within driving distance of Houston so that I can see the cars in person. I'm also in New Orleans about once a month. Any leads are appreciated. I can be reached via e-mail at [email protected]. Thanks
