My rear windows will go up with the top down but likely not without something breaking. That was one of the items that required repair before I took delivery on the car. |

I hear you Ron - as I mentioned mine will not go up because the top is in the way (with or without the button) yours does not seem to have that problem Check the archives, those back windows always have issues - mostly just the switch needing to be cleaned in the center consol |

Hi Tom, I have since learned that may not be the wisest thing to do. As I mentioned, being a novice owner, I just pushed the button and it went up. I have not yet used the lock down button, but I am planning on it. Maybe that is why the left hand side stopped working since I got my car. The GM at TRutlands was explaining to me about the lock down button. I have not had chance to test it out. LOL at you guys for the penalty box you are in now. We were there for a week. For some reason our So Cal group has really exploded in (informal) membership both on the board here and in group drives. I don't think you will be able to keep up with us. We caught up 1500 posts in about a month.

I agree it is the lock down button - which is interesting because in the other thread Ron had pics showing his rear windows up with the top down - something mine can't do |

Makes sense. I haven't checked the effect of the button with the top down yet. |

denied, this might be the lock out button for the windows. I was told last week that I have one on my 87 3.2 Cab so that if locked out, the rear windows cannot be accidently raised with the top down. I have not driven the car since then and can't seem to remember to go check it out when I get home. |

radio antena?, mine goes up, but doesn't come down easily, so I don't mess with it. It's on the center console on the 328. |

I need a little help understanding one of the buttons on my 84 Mondial QV Cab's dash. In the guage bin, to the left of the hood latch button is a pictogram of what looks like a door window and possibly a poorly drawn antenna. Pressing it lights up an identical pictogram in the center of the dash but has no other noticable effect. My manual denies the existance of this button and thus is no help whatsoever. What is this mystery button? Ejector seat? Machine guns? Cupholder deployment? |
