Having owned a 74 X1/9 I can tell you that the 74 was the one with the dinky (black) pressed steel bumpers (barely touch points). The 75 was the first with the extruded aluminum bumpers, The 76 had the big verticle "out of my way" attachements to the extruced aluminum bumpers. Mine was read with that chocolate tan interior. |

The green one in the picture was my little brother's first car. I believe it was a 74 or so model -- definitely a 1300. It had a kind of chocolate/tan interior, those double-bar bumpers and an airhorn bolted on the front, parallel between the bumpers. We had it in the Denton area in the late 80s or very early 90s, and it was sold off when he started playing the drums. Does this description ring a bell with anyone else? I'm curious if it's still in the area.
