Mr. Rose was very nice, and replied to me right after my mail. However, our schedule really couldn't mesh till 7/10 or so. Me, needed car by the end of June! He offered to show me his car on last Fri., but I was busy and so one. Also my fund wasn't enough for his price. I was almost afraid to see it as I may fell in love & break my plan! I am the type who like to follow what I originally planned (which took me almost 4 months to get the car), but improvise if necessary. Mr. Rose' car could become necessity.... Base on his e-mail, he has almost concours grade of a car just like yours. I wanted daily drive 328, and if I really like it, I can always upgrade to 89 328 or 355 later.

Yoshi, what ever happened with the yellow '89 GTS? Was it Don Rose's? You can email me privately if you'd like.

Adrian, I will do so once I learned how to download photos to my computer. You're right. I stop worrying about 328 already, and now worrying about 12 cylinders. T.R. suppose to be very different, and I will be checking it out this weekend, if schedule works out.

Raleigh, sure thing. Let me know when. Thank you, too.

Yoshi,
Congrats on the car. Sounds like a real great deal. And if you're like me at all (sounds like we have similar personalities), you'll stop worrying about the car and problems now that you've finally made a decision. In fact, you'll probably be buying your next ferrari soon and it will be MUCH easier! I'm looking for my third!
By the way you should post your purchase in the general discussion area...many have followed your questions and would love to know how you did!!!

Congrats Yoshi! Now we all need to get together and take a look. There is a TON of 328 knowledge here, we've all lived through it.

Thank you all very much for your help, especially Brian K for introducing me to this site, Rob Lay for giving me leads, Bob D for providing me guidance
I bought 328 Raleigh mentioned at FoD. The dealer, Mr. Mike Haywood, was helpful. The car is in a shop for minor works as Mike is taking care of it.
Now I am ready for TR.

VZ, that GTB is sold!!! The buyer paid for $57K plus sales tax, etc, which makes the cost for $60K. I offered $50K, but the car is, like you said, is collectible item. I intend to drive almost every week, so I may ruined that car. I hope whoever bought it will take care of it, because it was beautiful!!!

Jim, Thanks for your post. If I need his address, I will get back to you!
I just found out my offer was beaten by some collector who was willing to pay $7,000 more than me.
Raleigh, I checked out $39,500 car at FOD. It looks good, except some rell-painted spot. I only wish that was 89 model.....

Rob Lay, is that out of 100 points?
Would you please help me to get in touch with Don Rose?

I think Platinum is 95 points or better in a FCA show. Hardly any flaws in other words.

I have Don Rose email at home, he's not a FC user. I think they're looking for a 355.

Thank you all for all info. FOD is looking the car for me, too, but they haven't found the right one for me yet.
I prefer '89 GTB or GTS.
Ken, how can I get in touch with Don Rose? Though I would be hesitant to take away the car from the current member unless he is getting another one........
Rob Lay, what is "Platinum Coucours car" mean?

FoD has an 86 328 GTS for sale at $39,500. It only has 30K miles on the ticker. Not a bad car. Could use some cosmetic work.

Oh yeah, Don's is very very nice and a unique color of the FC DFW 328 club.

Yoshi,
Don Rose of Dallas is looking to sell his '89 328 in fly yellow. Gorgeous car if you are interested and incredibly well maintained. Pics of the car are shown in the Exotic Car nights post.

That 328 GTB is just awesome at FoD. I would consider it if looking for a Platnium concours car. Plus the 328 GTB's are rare and becoming more desirable.

Ferrari of Dallas has an extremely nice '89 328 GTB, red/tan. I know the car personally. Extremely low mileage but very well maintained. Timing belts already done twice due to age, not mileage. Contact Tony Nevotti at Ferrari of Dallas at (469)366-2400 to get more details.

Been looking for 328 locally for 3 weeks now. GTB is preferred, but will consider mint GTS like Bob D's. (he now took it off from the market, so we can tour together?!? Very nice man) Please let me know if you/anyone you know are selling 328. You can e-mail me details like year, color, mileage, service record, and price. Photo would really help, too.
Sleepless in Dallas for waiting to meet my first Ferrari...
