Come on Jim, how did it turn out? :-) That was a 1/10 ratio in his favor with a room full of theoretically available women. It had to be like shooting fish in a barrel.

We went to Sipango for dinner and tripped into a Bachelor Auction. It was supposed to be a closed event, but my friend the salesman talked us in the door. 300 women, 30 guys. We spent the whole night there!

Jim, Mercy is located within the village on the Parkway (old Sakowitz village). I've never been but was told that it's a fabulous place. My next door neighbor owns it.

2 forty year olds on the prowl in a ferrari...good lord, look out!

the ferrari won't help unless they see you drive up in it, but it will give you a sense of confidence once inside.

So I can just imagine all the creative ways he will come up with to name-drop "Ferrari" without actually saying "hey we came in a Ferrari tonight, wanna see it!?!"

I've just been told about Mercy, a wine bar in the old Sakowitz Village. It must be by Sherlocks? Sounds like that area has heated up.

He's hoping for a lot of 'chicky snacks'. I think the gents clubs are out, as I'd like to stay married. I'm thinking we'll head to Uptown and see how it goes, then move north. Check out Sipango and if all else fails, wind up back in Addison. I hope the weather breaks, I'd like to take the Ferrari. He seems to think it will help us pick up women. Hard to believe he's 40.

Cab Royale is my personal favorite. Lodge would be second. It use to be that hole in the wall place next door to Baby Dolls, but the Bauchman lake community has really been making it tough for them lately. They will actually be closed soon. The paper said they took the liquor license away, so it's BYOB and "100% no imagination" now.

Then again, Dukes is a fav of mine where I've partaken in the famous "dancing on tables". Fun stuff!

If you are going to hit up a finer "gentlemen's club", I'd highly recommend The Lodge.

As a close guy friend of mine says of Sherlocks, "it's a sausage factory", which I agree. Great place for me as a chicky!

Try out Martini Ranch or Sambuca - lots of plastic and very trendy. Also, "the in" place to be is Nikita - very new stylish vodka bar, but be prepared to wait.

If you want to give him a flavor of Texas, go to Red River. I have heard its good on a Thursday nite as its ladies night. 1:50 beers and entertaining sites. Wear your boots. A hot spot on Thursday's is Manhatten's in Uptown. I have gone to watch Mavs games there and its good. The young hip crowd and the quintesential $30,000 a year Dallas millionares abound along with lots of cosmetically enhanced women. For an older crowd its Sipango's. Hit and miss on Thurdays though.

Sherlocks is back behind the TGIF's and Bed, Bath, & Beyond at SE corner of Tollway and Beltline.

Greenville is just the usuals. We like to pub crawl when doing Greenville until you find something you like.

Primos on McKinney Ave. is THE place on Tuesday nights. Not sure about other days of the week. It's just a little North of M.A.T.

Where is Sherlocks? Are there any places down on McKinney or Knox/Henderson that are good? Lower Greenville?

Dukes is the place right now. Sherlocks would be a close second.

Carsons isn't what it use to be. Saturday night it didn't get going until about 11pm. On weekends though most places don't get going until late anyway.

I have a single friend in town on business and he wants me to take him out tomorrow night. We'll go to dinner, then he wants to go to a 'target rich environment'. I'm old and married and don't even know where to start. Greg S, Greg B, any of you single guys have any ideas? I sent him to Carsons last Thursday night and he said it was dead.
