Well I would like to extend my thanks to Rob for taking control and spending time coordinating this years events. I can say that this is the first year (4 yr FCA member)that I actually saw (and drove) my monies worth from FCA. Between the regular held "exotic car nights" the "poker run" and Bob Smith tours I feel Rob has done a fine job. It's not easy putting these things together but Rob always comes through. I have met some great new friends and learned more about my car than would have ever been possible without a local coordinator. My only hope is that Rob runs again. If not, those interested in running should know, the bar has been raised.

Rob, thanks for description of events. They all sounds fun, especially Poker Run.

Ron R, Boy's night outs sounds interesting. Not that I am considered a boy still (my wife surely think me as a boy)

Let me know if you ever want a hand to assist you for these events.

You forgot the occasional random Boy's Night Out (females invited, of course!).

Maybe we can migrate up to sporadic, ever-now-and-then, and even up to fairly-regular.

Poker Run was a rally, but each stop you got another poker card. End of the day the best (and worst) hands won prizes.

Second Tuesdays is the second Tuesday of every month we have either done go karting or Dave & Busters after work. We'll be moving around to various types and locations of places.

Rally is an event that rewards those that go from point A to B within the alloted time, alloted miles, and answer as many question correctly as possible.

Track events are closed race course events that require a helmet and an instructor, if you've never done one before. You can go as fast as you want, but there are strict passing and saftey rules.

Race, F club doesn't do any of that. It's one of my personal hobbies though. www.chicksdigitracing.com and www.spec7.org

The more you waste your life away on FC, the higher your ranking becomes. :-)

What is Poker Run? How does Second Tuesday named? What is the difference between rally, track & race?

I just notice my status was no longer "rookie", but "Karting". Is this because I just got 328? If I bought Enzo, what will it be? (just kidding)

I didn't have F-car when I joined FCA or F-chat. It's how you apply yourself to these organization, for fun, for knowledge, for reference, etc. A year ago, I was still sperm looking for F-chat.....

Jaime, some of our most active members don't have a Ferrari, and many Ferrari owners aren't active even though they're members.

I'd feel kind of odd being part of the FCA, even though I dont have an Fcar. I just thought that was kind off unusual. Im still going to try for a 3x8 in 5 or so years :-) Its an obtainable goal. Its funny though, my freind is a "Porschephile" while Im a Ferrari Fanatic. We'll be in the Barnes and Nobles and hes reading his "Excellence"
magazine, while Im reading my "Forza". We poke fun at each other saying whos getting what first his 911T, or my 3x8. When that proud day comes though, I'll be a FCA member for sure.

I think for the most part everything has gone well. We didn't have anything before, so 15+ cars at some events is better than that. Can't please everyone, but we'll try.

BTW, FCA DFW president is an elected position, so anyone that's interested, please run if you wish.
