I recommend Hallett to anyone. A great track with actually a few elevation changes. Probably one of the most technical in the area. Many famous races there in years gone past. It was one of Paul Newman's favorite tracks. Quick story... one night after a day of racing back in the 70's Paul Newman, owner of the track, and other racers were drinking it up at the track. At one point early in the morning Paul and the owner decide to race each other. Well, the track doesn't have lights and neither did their cars. I'm not sure who won. Another old story from Hallett is they were running the course clockwise (backwards) and in "The " a car went off course down the hill and sank to the bottom of the pond. Several seconds later the driver pops to the surface. Just stay away from Tow Trucks! |
