Jim, I have known Naoshi for over 20 years. Masami is named after his daughter who graduated UNT a couple of years ago and got married. When I met Naoshi his daughter was in a stroller. Personally I think Masami is the best Sushi in Dallas. Nine Fish in Frisco the best Sashimi. | ||

Found the house about a block away that had the Yellow 360 Spider. There was also a Yellow 355 in the garage. This is same house that had a Red 355 a few months ago. I left a Poker Run flier on his door and then I talked to him on the phone. He's a car dealer and was going to bring several friends to the Poker Run, but never came. He gets his cars worked on at Norwoods. | ||

Need to catch up. Friday I went to FoD. No need to explain what I saw there. Then I went to check out the new Lambo dealership. There was a 550 and a 355 in the parking lot. I went inside and they had two silver 360's and a NART blue 355 spyder and a 1982 308 GTBi. I drove the 308. They were asking $28,900. The guy told me that the car ran great and the owner had taken great care of it. It was clean on the inside, but when he started it, it idled at 3000 rpm's. I didn't think it was normal because the other 308 QV I've seen up close idled normally cold. Once the car warmed up it was ok. It drove nicely and the 1st to 2nd shift was grind free. Probably a good car for someone. Made me realize that I really want a 348 or newer. There were three new Lambo's sitting on the floor. They were pretty, but couldn't compare to the Fcars. They also had a real rough looking 400i. I'll go back to look again. | ||

I was driving the 250 and passed a yellow 360 spyder on Knox/travis. I waved but I don't think he realized that I was also in a Ferrari so I automatically put him in the poser catagory  Hope I am wrong. One block later I passed the worse looking 308 I have ever seen, terrible paint, duct taped body panels holding the thing together. Sad to see. | ||

Sorry for the late entry, but I was at FOD Thursday at about 11 am and the Enzo was in the parking lot. I walked around the car and looked inside. Seeing it at the car show was one thing, but being this close was totally different. Ferrari's GM came out and took it for a spin or something. It is one on the best sounds I have ever heard. When I pulled up someone in their black 550 was taking some pictures of it. It was cool hearing him drive off as well. FOD also has an '89 328 with 30K for sale on the floor. I sat in it and it is like brand new. | ||

OK. It's not Dallas, but I was in Chicago over the weekend visiting friends and by chance learned of Ferraris on Oak Street. Saw a 288 GTO, F40, F50 , and Enzo together. Next to those was also a California Spyder. Some great classics as well as new. An unbelievable event just to happen to find out about. Even thought about calling Jim E on my cell to share the joy. John, my wife and I love Esparzas... one of the best Mexican restaurants in Dallas (even if the foundation of the place is about to cave in).... I've seen Terry Bradshaw there twice... his ranch is in Westlake. Great place! |
