They were at Alliance last year too... great show! Don't forget to watch the jet-engined Kenworth truck too, it's amazing. |

Anybody interested? 15th Annual International Airshow featuring the legendary U.S. Navy Blue Angels, Sept. 27 - 28 at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth. Sponsored by the Fort Worth Aviation Heritage Assocation, the airshow is one of the nation's premiere flying shows offering several specialty acts for your entertainment. The Blue Angels took to the skies for the first ime in 1946 and have been flying into people's hearts for the past 57 seasons with their daring stunts and precision maneuvers. A flight demonstration team founded by Adm. Chester W. Nimitz, chief of naval operations, the Blue Angels were created to preserve naval aviation, enhance Navy recruiting efforts and to serve as international ambassadors of good will for the United States. The five-hour nonstop show will also include performances by the Red Baron Stearman Squadron, an award-winning aerobatics show in the historic World War II Stearman biplane and an MiG-17 Russian Jet fighter that reaches speeds of 714 mph. More than 10 solo pilots will perform and aircraft representing all sectors of the aviation industry will be on display for viewing. Advanced tickets are on sale Aug. 15 through Sept. 20. $13 - Adults $5 - Children ages 6-12 Children age 5 and under are free |
