You gotta lucky! Having 2 tickets in 3 months, I envy you. Tillman, be careful after you take the lesson in Dec., or should we be careful???

Moral of the story: you can never be careful enough

The more important moral is don't play on public roads.

So, there I am, moving down 121 in the HEB/Richland Hills/Fort Worth area headed into work. I've been playing a little tag with a newer BMW coupe and managed to slip ahead in the very light traffic.

When the headlights showed up on my rear bumper again I figured the BMW had cleared the 18 wheelers and was ready to play again. I ran the speed up to very superlegal speeds and the lights receeded behind me.

Suddenly a white Chevy Caprice sedan blasted by doing at least 20 MPH faster, well into the triple digits. Surprisingly, it was holding the road well. In just moments, it was vanishing into the distance.

That's when the car behind me pulled out and accelerated hard. When it went by, I was a little stunned to read "Fort Worth Police" on the side of the cruiser that I had been playing with. He hammered it and left me behind, as he ran down the other Caprice.

For those familiar with the area, the cop finally caught up with the guy just after he exited at Belknap. That's unfortunate, as the speeder didn't slow as he came off 121. Instead of 100+ in a 60, he's probably looking at 100+ in a 35. Doh!

The moral of the story? Be real sure who you're playing with :-)
