Mitch - thanks for the lead. I didn't know about Exotic Cars in Austin.
Kelly - Thanks and I would very much like to take you up on your offer. I am out of town until the 28th myself so we could hook up then. By the way, I also saw the F355B at Barrett. and the 348TS (white/tan I believe).
Hovey had an F355B (dark red) last year but nothing since. |

Hello Shan. I just bought a 86 Testarossa a couple of months ago and I love it. I looked at and drove a 355B at Barrett in San Antonio, a 456 GTA in Austin, and a 89 Testarossa in Dallas and a 86 TR in Houston and a 348 in SA at the Porsche dealership. I gotta tell you, all of them are great cars but there is something about a mid engine flat 12-cylinder red Ferrari that is special to me. I would offer you a ride in my car in Austin but it is at FoH having some touch up work done and then it comes back to Austin in a couple of weeks to have a Tubi installed. It will probably be the end of the month before I have it back in my garage but you are welcome to go for a ride with me then.
I was in Newport Beach, CA last week and saw a pretty nice looking 355 spider that is listed on ebay this week. My flight to John Wayne airport from Austin was only $300 and I landed 30 minutes after I took off from Austin. If you go, try the sushi at Zen Sushi in the Nike Center in Newport. |

Any recommendations for South Texas dealerships (Austin, Houston, etc) that have used Ferraris would also be greatly appreciated. |

Greetings all. As a few of you know, I'm pondering what to get next. I have narrowed my choices down to the F355B or (88.5-91) Testarossa. I'm leaning toward the Testarossa (big, flat 12 and more of a rare car). I'm not looking to do track time, just Sunday drives with my wife and like the touring concept.
The problem is I can't find either car at the dealers in my area (i.e. South Central Texas). I've seen lots of 550's though. I am wondering if any F355 or TR owners could let me come by and look at and/or give me passenger-seat ride in either car, so I can figure out which I like best, as I will likely buy my next car long distance.
