Well, the two boxes from Germany arrived today. Upon opening them, I was treated to some of the most perfect craftsmanship in stainless steel I have ever seen. This Capristo exhaust is almost too nice to mount in the car! I may just let it sit in my living room as art. Curvacious and shiney like a mirror. The welds look almost robot welded...perfect and polished.

Seriously though, my mechanic friend Mario is coming over this weekend and we will install it along with the test pipes and ECUs.

I will post before and after pictures and sound files.

Hello everyone. I am new to this website. I have heard many good things about it and am happy to be here.

A question to all. Has anyone tried the FUCHS 360 exhaust ? Response that I get from people from hearing this system is quite amazing. PERSONALLY, I think it sounds better than the tubi system. And is easier to get.

Heiko my Dad paid 2.7c or even 2.4.

01077 I think is what they currently use.

Once I get this stuff on and running, all are welcome to drop by and go for a spin. If someone can post (or tell me where to go find) a list of upcoming events in FL, it would be appreciated.

Paul... Yeah, great, like I said above...just lemme know when and where.

Thanks Russ. I have also spoken to Heiko in the past. You are right, he likes to talk Ferrari which is fine with me. Maybe 30-40 minutes on the phone from Germany. Nice guy. I am just wondering if the overall price is really worth it. Seems like alot of $$ to make the change. I would definitely do it from stock but not if I already had a Tubi and straight pipes. IMHO

Paul, I posted this on the Tech Q&A earlier, but it seems to answer your question as well:

First off, when I decided that I might want the Capristo exhaust, I called Heiko and asked him for some references. He gave me the names of some other people who had purchased the exhaust, test pipes and ECUs from him.

I called these guys and spent at least a half hour on the phone with each of them. One of these guys was able to give me comparisons between the Tubi and the Capristo. He is up in Canada and told me that in side by side comparisons between his Capristo/pipes/ECU car and his buddy's Tubi/stock/stock car, the difference was astonishing. (I don't know if it was the Capristo that makes all the difference or the ECUs and test pipes) Either way, he said the Capristo sound was beyond desription.

The one thing that everyone I talk to tells me is that Heiko is a solid guy. I have to agree. So far the guy has called me like 30 times from Germany just to talk Ferrari. Seems his life revolves around Ferrari. So far I am quite impressed.

Guys, is it really worth it changing from a Tubi to a Capristo? I can see doing that if you had the stock exhaust in the car but it almost seems foolish if you already have a good aftermarket exhaust that is working properly. Unless of course you try and sell the Tubi.

Yeah, same here, Martin!

Paul, I have a buddy who will be helping me. Seems to be a fairly easy job, but not something I want to get into without Mario present...He has worked on my Lambos before and is known in the area for being a top rate Ferrari guy.

Also, Heiko is sending over the new ECUs. Remapped ignition curve, O2 sensor issue solved, 9350 rpm shift point. I have talked with other folks who have done these same mods and say the difference was incredible.

I can't wait!

Well, after a week of careful consideration and serious investigation, I have purchased a Capristo exhaust system from Heiko. The whole deal includes the silenced test pipes, the exhaust, tailpipes and tips. From what I can tell so far the Capristo simply rocks!

When it arrives to me here in the US, I will post some pictures. When it is installed I will post more pictures and some sound files, too.

So far, working with Heiko has been a pleasure.

Does anyone have actual hands on experience installing a Tubi system on a 360? I would like to get general impressions...Worth it? Sound? Performance change? Second thoughts? CATS?

Any help on making my decision to go for it or not would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!

Russ
