The flyer was advertising a porche from the early 60s. I didn't really have time to look at it because I was running to class, but the car was yellow and selling for around 15,500 if I remember correctly. |

Dear members: The showroom is in a discrete facility on Division street. You can visit by appointment only, by calling Mr. Spiro directly at 585-3905. I would also like to send my personal thanks to everyone who participated in our Ferrari Fest this weekend. If you have not joined the Ferrari Club of America, Louisiana Chapter please do so. Whether you own a car or not, you are welcome. This is the only way I know who you are and the only way you will consistently get invitations to our events. |

Wade: Point well taken. I was asked to put my lawyer hat on by my client to clear up some inaccuracies. Spiro is a very serious guy and he asked me to seriously make a statement in his defense. I will now take my lawyer hat off. As for your comments I needed to clear things up that you said that were inaccurate. Thats all. I certainly do not want to create tention. I want all of us to help make New Orleans into an exotic car hotbead. I think this is happening due to the help of a lot of people, yourself included. Lets work together and keep things moving. John to add to you elequant display of words, I too am glad to see Jim make his dreams and wishes come true. Did you think I said something malicious, if you did please point it out to me? I was meerly stating what I knew, Fantasy Motors may have been incorporated last month but have been in the car business for several years. As you say Jim knows all of the big players and that is wonderful to have him HERE doing it, I have never discredited Mr. Spiro's ability to buy or sell cars and never will. I have never done business with him myself, but have discussed many that came close. John take off your lawyer hat and come down to earth. I was only saying that Jim,Craig, and Bret have been doing this for some time, and I have been involved on a deal or two at one point or another. More power too him I hope he is as successful as he has been with other ventures. |

Dear Ferrari Chat: As the attorney for Fantasy Motors, I would like to clarify the most recent post which is patently incorrect. First, Fantasy motors has not been in buisness for 5 years, it was incorporated by me in the last three months. Second, there are not four partners, there is only one sole owner of the dealership. His name is James M. Spiro. Check the public records. Third, Mr. Spiro opened this dealership for himself and to start a buisness. If you doubt that consider this: since the dealership opened three months ago, Jim has purchased (not consigned, not run an add for, but payed for) a singnificant inventory including: 1)an F40, 2)a 550 Maranello, 3)a 355 Spyder, 4)a 355 GTS, 5)a 246 GTS Dino, 6)a Pantera, 7)the 330 TR/LM, 8)an 88 328 GTS, 9)a Continental R 10)a rare Shelby R model. In those three months of operation, Jim has sold 50% of his inventory! Jim has sold the F40, the 328 GTS, the 355 GTS, the 355 Spyder, and is closing the deal on the Pantera in the next day or two. That is 5 cars since he opened the doors just three months ago. Did he buy these cars for himself and then get cold feet and decide he couldn't aford them? Oh, and by the way, here is an intereistng fact: All were sold to local La. owners. Anyone that suggests that Mr. Spiro is not opening a car dealership and does not intend to sell cars is being proven to be flat wrong in a big hurry. As for the legitimacy of this venture let me say this: Jim Spiro's lifelong dream has been to open an exotic car dealership and grow it into a company like Symbolic Motor cars. (which is the crown jewel of dealers). Don't think he can do it? Well consider this; he has consistently been nationally ranked as one of the top grossing members of the Smith Barney firm. An amazing feat considering his base clients are from New Orleans. I can tell you that I was with Jim Spiro when he purchased the 330 TR at Monterey. When he purhcase that car, his reputation, along with that wise purchase (wise b/c he purhased it about 1M-2M cheap in the opinion of several experts), solidified his national and international contacts in the exotic car buiness. Jim Spiro can pick up the phone and speak to nearly all of the movers and shakers in the Ferrari world. (to give you an idea of how many contacts this guy has in the Ferrari world, let me just tell you that when he watched Monza '99, he did so from within Micheal's motorhome. Do you think a guy with this power can help us find our Ferrari desires? You can bet on it. Quite simply, this guy is serious, his contacts are serious, and his Ferrari buisness will be serious. Imagine how lucky we are to have this type of individual, with these powerful contacts, in New Olreans. This fact along with a world renowned concorso event, can bring great things to the New Orleans Tifosi. I do this to set the record striaght and to advise anyone that anyone who maliciously and intentinally spreads false information to damage this very serious buisness may find themselves needing to hire legal counsel. Kelly not sure if you know but Fantasy Motors has been in business for about 5 years, there are 4 partners and all just buy cars for themselves and use the dealer licenses to keep from the taxes, nothing special. Jim has always bought cars and sold them when he is done with them nothing new. |

So, if you meet someone looking for that special car and you want them to talk to someone who knows what he is doing and has the crediablity to back up what they say. Call Fantasy Motors at 504-885-7664. Just to give you a hint of who the owner is. Does the number 330 TR LM mean anything to you. THX Kelly |
