Alex that was probably me who said you cant sit in it... but that was said to everyone, would cost too much at the end of the week to replace stuff if we let 5,000 people plop in and out of the car...Look at the other cars aroudn the show, would you wanna buy any of them after the show was over? people ripped off anything that wasn't welded... LOL plus its not easy to get in the car, and its only got 7 miles on it, dont wanna affect the value of a new $300,000 car just to make people feel better about their $10 picture Should of asked for me though, i woulda let you check out the car for a bit, i ran into two guys from F-chat who i let check the cars out...they should have interrior pictures for you to see |

Oops, also, yes, I have sat in an Elise before. It is pretty comfortable, didn't seem that tight to me. Then again, I'm all of 5'9" and 140 lbs so I can pretty much fit into anything comfortably. Course, the only car I've ever complained about was this, and that's just because the cupholders weren't working:

DES, not big deal. Yes, I had a little toy for you. Actually, I think you may already have one version of it now that I look at your list again, but no worries, I'll get it to you one day. For anyone interested, here are some pictures from our display Sunday. http://www.lotusenthusiasts.org/Events/20030427/Default.asp Dave (djmonk) and Mark Nyman it was a pleasure meeting you. (Also any other Ferrari listers I may have missed...sorry if I forgot.) |

A toy...? i missed out on a toy...! NOOOOOOOO...! Alex, my apologies; i would've loved to come by, but schedules didn't permit me to attend on Sunday - it had to be either Saturday or nothing. i saw the red Elise & the grey Esprit; the Elise looks completely different in person, than it does in a magazine; at first, i confused it for an Opel Speedster; it looks very nice, i'd love to drive one; have you been in it...? Is it tight, sporty, uncomfortable...? i wish i could've come by... Thank you, though, it would've been a great pleasure to meet you and learn a bit about the cars... Perhaps next year or another event...? |

Rob, i went down there, but didn't want my picture taken with it; i asked the guy, though, if i could have my picture taken inside it and he said no; my plan was to get inside and take pictures of the interior... No such luck... Were you there with it...? |

you guys have any idea who's taking delivery on the red Enzo at the NYIAS?.. just curious, as i'm sure it's spoken for. People were leaning over the railing to touch the car.. I would have been pretty irked, had i been the owner. |

hey rob, i was at the show this past friday from 2 until 7 or so. stopped by murcielago at the crystal palace, but no one knew of you there. anyway, i was able to get into the bentley exhibit (sat in the continental GT..), and it's pretty close to the ferrari exhibit--the enzo in particular. they only took one elder gentleman into the ferrari exhibit, and he looked as if he was pretty wealthy. maybe the owner of that particular Enzo?.. nevertheless, i also was able to get on the maybach platform, but the woman wouldn't allow me to go into the actual car. apparently, it already belongs to Arnold Schwarzeneggar and it's here at the show before being sent to santa monica. i was a tad bit disappointed in the aston martin selection. the zagato wasnt there, nor was that new porsche competitor 'mini-vanquish' type AM there. overall, it was a pretty good show, considering they actually had ferraris there. this is sort of OT, but did you all notice that every 996 Porsche had the option X54 exhaust tips (the ones that are like a figure-8 sideways..quasi-quad exhaust)? considering that it's a $900 option, i thought it was odd for them to outfit every car (less the GT3) with it. |

I am doing a "report," if you will, on the NYIAS for a class at NYU's Stern business school. It's for a class that has an emphasis on multimedia systems, and as such, I may need to have behind-the-ropes access to take pictures/video. Does anyone know how this may be possible? Please pass along any additional contacts who you know might be there or be able to help. I'll definitely try to find Rob Ferretti.. Most likely, I'll be going to the show Friday 4/18 (tomorrow). |

Good to see you Adam! The Lamborghini was disappointing- nothing that special- weird dimensions. After Adam told me about getting in the Maybach 57 I had to go back and try and let me say- this car is amazing- litterly every thing you could possibly want in a car- but when it came down to it- it was just one really nice S600. I asked a few questions to the woman who was in charge of it and she took me to the back to see the 62- the limo version- which had that transparent top- what a car! I'd get that for the extra 50k. The new Bentley wasn't that exciting, I thought it would be nicer in person, very disappointed. I'm going to be posting pictures on my site if anyone is interested- just ask for the address.

Just got back from the show. Not too bad. Looked for you Rob. Ran into Kenny by the Enzo. It was not a bad show because of the lack of a crowd. A few intro's with Volvo and Lexus. The new Bentley was very nice and the Maybach was so comfortable and huge and this was the short wheel base. The Enzo was very cool but do not understand why 5 point belts are not in it. The Tourag was quite nice but pricy for a VW. The Porsche was a bit better value for the money. Nothing beats the overseas shows. Will be back on Sunday taking family members. Anyone else? |

rob, is she the aston martin lady? that names sounds really familiar. I think that was the woman who i argued with for 15 minutes a the 01 autoshow about how the aston V12 was essentially 2 ford duratec V6's. she said it wasnt, but it is! |

Hi, I was planning on going to the carshow sometime over the next week. Is anyone else going? I would really love to get inside the Ferrari exhibit, but I could bet that it's through invite only.. similar to the Bentley one and the other high-end exhibits. |
