Believe it or not, I'll be rolling through your area again in September (my daughter goes to Dartmouth, and it looks like I'll be doing it again in November. So keep those cards and letters coming as to great driving roads.

Thx

Dale you can pick it up in the center of Rutland off of rte 7 and it runs east thru Vt to N.H. Killington is off of Rte 4.

I remember a few years ago I was driving to Killington with some friends and there was a highway with banked turns. It was also practically empty with traffic. I want to say it was Rt. 7. Does this sound correct?

Best,
Mike

Dale I just noticed you were back on Fchat and I was curious as to how you found the Vermont roads. Your post answers my question. Now you know how I can put 380 miles on my S2000 on a Sunday drive in Vermont!
I can't explain the politicians to you however!

It just don't seem fair. You Yankees have got some of the best driving roads around. (Once you get out of the potholes in NYC.) I just got back from the People's Republic of Vermont, and man-on-man, Rt 100 from Stowe to Manchester is great! I'm sure that it gets plugged up with RVs on the weekend, but during the week it was great. Oh sure, you guys have a number of crunchies driving eco cars at 35 MPH. But hey they are just part of the fun. I just love to give those folks something else to hate. Even better, no instant on on the back roads. Just noisy radar that is a piece of cake for a V1 to pick up.

Can someone please explain how you can have such great roads and lousy politicans?

Dale
