Hi Gents, thought you might be interested in my clutch fit video. Although it's for a Mondial they are virtually the same and so this may be of use to you folks.
I have gone into rather a lot of detail and will be doing a short edit soon.
Anyway here they are in order, all the best, Bell Bloke.

thats brilliant, videos are great to help me do more work on mine over the years, a good idea to build up a database of how to videos by us owners as a continuous thread, ideas?

This is fantastic, i would love to see an area in the 3x8 section dedicated to video of maintenance, body work and other procedures. PS
As soneone recently said, why read the book when you can watch the movie.

Bell I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to prepare this video. It truly was amazing to watch. I have studied the process on clutch replacement on my 308, but never had to do it yet. After seeing this video it cleared up any issues I have doing my clutch. Very nice video. I could watch these videos all day.

Many thanks for your kind comments Folks.
It suddenly occurred to me the other day that even though I have a Mondial we do share a similar construction and running gear etc, so to post my restorative Mondial exploits in this section might be of some help to you folks I hope.
I know the videos are a little bit long but I wanted the viewer to discover and overcome some of the issues that one is likely to find on a car of 30 years old.
I will edit a quick step by step version asap, this will be more as a quick referance for the more seasoned 'wrenchers' out there.
    All the best, Bell Bloke

    Outstanding video guides.
Great tip about re-filling gear box oil also
Truly brilliant for the novice like me. Before watching your video clips I would never even tried to change the clutch but now no probs!!!

What silicon do use for re sealing?

    Cheers

Gents and Ladies undertaking clutch changes in the near future, if you have any little issues please post here if there is anything not shown in the videos I will do my best to help as I am sure others will do also.
I too was unfamiliar with this car which I have only had for a year, but I have to say as clutch changes go doing this one was an absolute delight.
The trick is, and I keep on stressing this in the video, be gentle...don't force anything.
These cars are old, things get corroded or covered in grime, you may have left a bolt in or a clip on, it's easily done.
If it's stuck, sit back, make a cup of tea, have a think....or post here for some advice from the folks here.

Hi Milkshaker the silicone I used is the one in the picture, to be honest I just looked for one that was heat, oil and fluid resistant as specified.

Just watched the whole set of videos over morning coffee. While I don't need a clutch right now, I'm always trying to build up some knowledge about these particular tasks. Thanks very much for posting this.

Just finished watching all 3 parts. Excellent video! Its great to watch someone who clearly has an innate ability to "do it right".

Furthermore its not every car video which has the line "Can you disengage now darling" (towards the end of part 3) :)

Ha ha Andy, we both had a good laugh at your 'disengage' comment :)
And thanks for watching gents, hope it will be of some use in the future to you.
They are actually quite fun to make although the camera does get it the way sometimes, mind you I do actually want to start driving Kato soon seeing as the season is about to start :)

These videos are fantastic, and it would be great if a member has the knowledge and expertise to complete a video of procedures that Bellbloke hasn't already done it would be great that they did, so a video catalogue can be created for present and future owners to complete other own maintenance. I have used them often and it gives me the information a written conversation isn't always able to explain clearly.
