I need some help with identifying the safe jack points for my 348. In particular, I want to know where I can safely place jack stands under the car.

After searching the forum, the consensus seems to be that you can put jack stands under the two side points near the front and rear edges of each door, and also under the forward edge of the engine cradle (see first photo below, which I borrowed from another post).

Is it safe to use points further aft on the engine cradle, as I've circled in the second photo below?

Also, is there a safe place to use jack stands in the front that is inboard of the normal side jacking point? The third photo below shows the right front wheel, as seen looking towards the front of the car. I've circled what appears to be a fairly substantial cross beam that's tied in with the front suspension mounting. Could a jack stand be used here?

Finally, are there any safe central jacking points for front and/or rear? Everything I've found by searching says there's not, but I thought I'd ask just to be sure.

That top picture is one I took when adding spacers to my car. I use the manual drawing of the car's frame to figure out where the strong frame sections were and picked that as a reasonable place for the rear jackpoint. Be careful not to bo near the edge of the car behind the door, I read that someone punctured their radiator that way.

Today, I used jack stands under the front jacking points that I circled in the photo above. They worked fine.

Are the circled points also where you can place a trolley jack head in order to jack the car up for each rear wheel?

Hey Pap - any chance of posting some close-up pics of your rear jacking points, as discussed ?

I can if you like mate. But I would just put the trolley jack under the engine cradle, as circled in those pics. :):)

Do one side at a time. :):)

Thanks this was helpful. I jacked at back of of frame which was circled to remove battery. Jacking in front of rear wheel looks to be difficult. I blocked under jack for safety.

    Thanks Again
