A few years ago I sold my 99 F355 GTS and have regretted it ever since. I tried to contact the fellow I sold it to about buying it back and have had no response so it's time to search for another. My girlfriend has been trying to talk me into a new Audi, which didn't sound like a bad idea but I told her no. It has to be a Ferrari and it has to be a 355. Looking for a GTS or Berlinetta, gated. Prefer 95. Wish me luck!!
There is a interesting grey color on ebay 95 with gated and black interior. 30kish miles. Good luck out there.
Glad to hear you are back in the hunt. I ogled your '99 secretly from afar prior to being financially able to make the jump (loved the red stitching). I bought a '95 red/tan GTS 3 years ago and have loved every bit of the 20K + miles spent in it so far!
I have a trumped up Volkswagen A3 S-Line hatch, and I quite like it. Handles like a slot car, can carry lumber, and will shred the front tires on demand. But it ain't no Ferrari, that's for sure.
Just out of curiosity why did you sell it? Financial reasons, boredom, wandering eye, other annoyances? Everyone makes mistakes, but maybe there's a reason you sold it that is still true and will just come back again when you get the next one.
Good question. I sold it because I didn't drive it often. If I took it to work it would annoy me that it would just be sitting outside all day getting dusty. At the time I had a new Ducati as well so the Ferrari was used maybe once or twice a month. After selling it I realized I enjoyed owning it even if it wasn't used often and I should have kept it. 99 GTS with red contrast stitching, challenge grill and factory shields. I doubt I will find another like that but the next 355 I get will not be sold.
Look at it this way..... Once you find another one and if it comes to the point where your not driving it much again. Its the best looking Fcar that you could just go out to the garage and stare at!!! I came to that conclusion yesterday as the f^&%$ rain poured down. LOL
And you could have found that out immediately by clicking on the Free Carfax button. CARFAX Vehicle History Report for this 1995 FERRARI F355 GTS
Well it said "no accidents or damage reported". When I tried opening the carfax 2 days ago it was prompting me to pay for it.
Personally speaking, as a neutral 348 owner, I'd say that the 308/328 GTB/GTS (just) trumps it for being the best looking Fcar to just go out to the garage and stare at!
Thanks! Not any real preference. I say I would like something unique but I would also love to buy my old car back. I like the scuro/tobacco b that was for sale about a year ago. I like Eric's hyperion car as well. My favorite interior color is crema but it seems they were mostly overseas. Sooo, how about a 95 b tdf/crema, serviced up with new headers and a Capristo. Ok, now that I've stopped dreaming, I'm patient enough to wait for something unique but that patience will probably extend only to months and not years.
I like that 95 scuro myself. Ask328 on Fchat owned that car and my car previously. He also had another 95 red/tan GTS more recently. I will keep an eye out for you.
I bought a TDF blue with Crema interior last fall in Florida and drove it back to Pennsylvania. The original owner had bought it in Florida, so crema interiors do exist here. Online it looked almost white, which I wasn't sure of, but knew I had made the right choice once I saw it. It's a 1998 spider and I get a lot of comments on it from people.
TDF/Crema is a gorgeous combo! I have seen a few pictures of that interior in US cars but it is definitely rare.
