From the B-J web site, one owner estate car. (??) For sale at auction: Lot #774 - Original unrestored Ferrari 348 TB from the original owner's estate in Augusta, GA. The car was bought brand new in 1989 at FAF Motorcars (Ferrari of Atlanta), a factory authorized Ferrari dealership. It is a US model car with the original Bill of Sale that shows the original owner paying FAF Motorcars $160,000 plus sales tax for this car. The car comes with every book, record, receipt, leather books, leather tool kit, original factory brochures and posters. It had the 40,000 major service done and when that was done it also had the upgrades done to the factory air conditioning and the Bosch computers. The car runs and drives fantastic. It has the original paint that is a solid. The original Connolly leather interior still smells new. Non-smoking owner. The car was custom ordered for the original owner so every factory letter, dealer and factory correspondence is in this cars very thick file. Original owner ordered the car factory radio delete. Four brand new high dollar Goodyear Supercar tires. Clean CARFAX.
Funny thing for such a nice car , when it rolled by the cameras it looked like the lips on the wheels were chewed up a little . Lol 1994 ferrari 348 spider , third owner purchased may 2013 w/ 27804 miles
All things considered, as it appears, seems to be a good price actually (not up or down). 1989 FERRARI 348 TB BERLINETTA COUPE - Barrett-Jackson Auction Company - World's Greatest Collector Car Auctions . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some people are really good at destroying rims. I can't believe some of the cars I have come across. Looks like it has been chewing on curbs and loving it!!
It sold well. The Chevys and fords before it were sold less then parts cost. I grabbed a resotomod pickup couple years ago and almost doubled my money parting it out for other projects. Sure the builder cried.
Is that $160,000.00 a realistic number ? I have a 1991 348 TB and thought that it might have a MSRP of around $100,000.00. What are the extra $60,000.00 new options in 1989 ? I do not have the original Bill of Sale for my 348 but was just curious about this 1989 price.
I think some messed up and switched the zero and six . 106 would be more like it . Lol 1994 ferrari 348 spider , third owner purchased may 2013 w/ 27804 miles

I would guess most guys here bought our 348 at or near the bottom of the value curve , and wow what a nice car , for the money. , but turn time back to 1989 , consider the car was over 100k and you could understand some megative press , awesome car for 30k , 40k . But 100k , 130k or 160k ?????? Please dont get me wrong , i love the 348 , but that was an insane amount of money then , still is . 1994 ferrari 348 spider , third owner purchased may 2013 w/ 27804 miles
This thread has caused me to think about what I'm going to have to do with my car some day. Especially now that I contemplate downsizing. I am the original owner of a red/tan 1992 348tb with 1900 miles on it.
I'll wager that you'll get less than what you have invested in it. Give it another 5 or 10 years. Or, as TF said, drive it
You guys are so lucky over there in the US. A very good right hand drive 348 here in the UK is £40,000, approx $60,000. Prices have risen here. Great value in comparison.

That's a low price for a TB. I've been tracking 348s for a year now and TBs never come that cheap. They seem to be consistently selling for $10-15k more than the TS models. This car: Ferrari 348 Targa | eBay was purchased at a Mecum auction for $40.5k and that dealership has had it on eBay for several months now. It's never made it past $31k in bidding... they lost their butt on this one.
I collected a lot of in-period articles/videos about the 348. I don't think I ever saw one that had anything negative to say. In its day, the 348 was considered a huge positive step over the 328. Early on, it was in high demand, so buyers paying a premium over the $100k-ish sticker would not be a surprise. - Eric
You must have missed that black/tan TB that sold to a member here from a dealer in TX sub $30K. That car previously was bought by the dealer for $24k probably 2+ years ago. I agree with your overall thought, just there are always cars on the out lying ends of the spectrum
If they wanted to try and get better money for this car they should at least try and paint the front bumper bottom black or paint all the lower red not just leave it mis match
The best part about that car is that the auction photos have the wheel backwards too. They literally did nothing to the car.
