Where do you buy the racing harness/belts for the CS? Meaning factory or close to factory Ferrari belts?

Dealer should have them. Also check Ricambi. An F-chatter just bought the car from Algar that had a "bar" installed behind the seats and four point belts installed by the dealer....check the CS market thread and you can find him...

I am not going to get them in my car because (it seems) you have to modify the car and make holes to find a way to anchor them. I would like to have the harness for track days, but don't want to mod/drill holes on the car (at least not right away).

Becoming increasingly rare to find. I have a brand new OEM set available. You have a PM.

Hold the phone...These cars are build to be on the track and you are telling me that it will screw it up to add the harness system which the seats are built for?

I would like for the car to have the ability for use of some harness. What does this actually involve?

    Is this a major project?

    No, not at all.

I hope you didn't infer that from my post about needing something to anchor the belts too. That is not a "major project" by any stretch. Call a dealer or wait for one of the many folks on here who have put 4 pointers in their track cars to chime in.

(BTW, the US cars didn't come with the four pointers because - as I understand it - they don't meet regulatory requirements over here and/or would require new testing in order to do so (not sure which or if both)).

Thanks for the clarification. I am really looking to see how simple adding the harness system is to the car.

    What parts are needed?
    How difficult?

You should have a roll bar if you install these harnesses.

That factory set up looks awesome. I would love to do that to my car.

Where do they go after they go through the Alcantara and into the engine bay??

Anyone done this to a 3-point car? (Got pics and details on where, what, how much etc)

This is a very nice upgrade !
Where exactly (which company?) one can purchase this harness and the rest of the system that goes into the wall behind the seats?

These are ORIGINAL Ferrari items so you can get them from main dealer or I know that Ricambi supply them:

    http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=261371

they are not cheap @ $459 each, I paid slightly less than this in the U.K

Mounting points: Here its not so straight forward, Ferrari do not supply the plates they used for the harnesses. You either had them as part of your build spec or not at all.

However if you search EBAY for 'Harness backing or plate' make sure you get FIA approved ones and you need a 7/16" thread. Everything else is supplied with the Ferrari belts inc a nice set of Ferrari badged belt pads for comfort.

Mounting wise Im still not 100% sure. i want to followed more or less what the factory did but might drill a hole through the rear wall and mountthese plates on the engine side and bolt through that way?? I need to take a close look, otherwise will see if these are able to be welded (as Ferrari did) on the inside of the car, but two different metals so not sure if this can be done ??

not much of an update my end, ive had a few engine issues ive had to focus on, but all fixed now so will start again to look at the new belt install + other projects

Im steering toward mounting the brackets in the engine bay as these can be hidden behind 1) two center brackets will be behind the plastic cover
    2) two outer brackets will be behind the Carbon Engine Side Panels

So neither will be seen and the modification will look factory stock.

I need to take some measurements to be 100% they will fit where I want them as the fuel line/bar runs along that area so need to check for space/restrictions.

    Some pics of intended positions:

Im getting a little futher with my harness install, sorry its slow progress im trying to do too many jobs at once as usual !

So today I cut out the holes in the factory CS trim to enable the belts to pass through, one thing I like about the factory supplied belts is when purchased they also come with the 4 plastic trim cover lugs already supplied so all you have to do is cut the holes and the black plastic covers finish off the look and keep it all tidy.

    a few pics ...
