Can a Stradale rear diffuser be put on a 360 spider? What are the pros and cons? Will it make any difference in driving/handling? Cost? Thanks
The CS bumper is slightly different .... so the Diffusers are not a straight bolt on . Nevertheless, VOICEY with the Bianco Fuji Spider installed a set from Pro-Sport. I believe they enhance downforce above 70 MPH.
As Enrique said, it can be done but I'd only do it if you're changing the front bumper to CS spec too as that adds downforce at the front to balance the extra at the rear. Essentially you need to find someone with a mould of the CS diffusers (such as ProSport). Then you need to insert blanks into the mould so the diffuser will sit flat against the stock bumper (the CS bumper has a recess to accept the diffuser). Also you'll need to trim the edges of the diffuser so they don't stick out. More info on page 9 of my project thread: www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320586
Hi, We have been making these for about 6 years now. In fitting, they are substanstantially different to the factory CS ones. Fitted they look identical. Have a look at our website, all the details are there, including fitting instructions and all the tools and fittings we supply to DIY. The difference in handling is amazing, 80mph up the car is much more stable, but the biggest difference is hard braking from 130mph the car is as solid as a rock. This is just my own experience on the track. Ciao Brenden Image Unavailable, Please Login
Since you asked for pros/cons in an ferrari forum: Con: I really really doubt you would notice any difference in performance Con: This could be costly modification. Con: While everyone has their own opinion, in general there is a higher percentage of people that like a ferrari stock vs. any other make I can think of. Hopefully you can keep your original parts and undo the modification if you don't like it or at some point want to sell the car. I personally wouldn't consider a ferrari that had been modified, and would deduct from any purchase price to put ferrari rims on in place of bling rims. Pro: The only one I can think of is if you like this look to a level to overcome the cons (and it is your car, so this may be the case as there are people that like to "personalize" their cars).
It's another product we sell. It helps to dissipate a lot of the heat build up, especially in hotter climates and/or on the track. It's a lot more effective than the Challenge grille. We have a climate about the same as Arizona, track temperatures in summer can rise to 55 celcius (130 fahrenheit). Ciao Brenden
My question is, do they have to be bolted/drilled into the factory undertray or is there a way around it?
I wasnt aware of that when i purchased mine, I personally would not want to drill them into the rear tray. If anyone here is interested in buying these, i can sell you mine since I have no use for them anymore.
I don't know what the material is that they are made of but... Maybe you can cut them down and glue them in the space where the 430 strakes go. This might give you most of the look that you were trying for and be reversible.
If you wanted to glue them in place you'd need something so strong that it'd do more damage on removal then drilling.
Yes they are made of metal, and are fairly heavy, so the only way to play it safe would be to bolt them on.
Ours are fitted to the rear bumper with threaded inserts, which allows for easy removal and replacement. They come supplied with all fittings and tools required, including some spares and practice material. There are illustrated instructions on our website. The Christmas sale is still on, until midnight New Years Eve, 20% off all our products for Ferrari Chat members. Seasons Greetings to all. Ciao Brenden Image Unavailable, Please Login
