I've done some searching, but I can't find a definitive answer.

I have a "regular" F430 with the OEM 19" Challenge Wheels. The wheels as I understand are of the following spec:

    Wheel width : 19x7.5 fronts, 19x10 rears
    Offset : 31.5 Front, 39 Rear

I'm looking at the Michelin Pilot Super Sport 235/35R19 fronts and 295/35R19 rears. The tire specs (from tirerack.com) states it will fit:

    Rim Width Range FRONT: 8-9.5"
    Rim Width Range REAR: 10-11.5"

    Questions:
    1) The rear tire seems to fit the rear wheels fine. Are there any concerns (e-diff, traction control) with a wider 295 tire in the F430?

    2) Everyone seems to be running 235s in the front. It seems to be .5 inch off from the tire spec though? No issues either?

    Thanks!

I have run 235s on the front without any problems. It reduces understeer. Don't know about the 295s but I don't think I would want them combined with 225s. 235s could be OK.

My '07 has PSS 235 front and 295 rear on 19" HRE wheels, and they are excellent. The rim widths are 8.5 and 11" though, an inch wider than stock.

I have heard that Michelin will make available a PSS 285/35R19 but cannot confirm.

The 285/35R19 has been available in the UK for a few months now, it definately exists.

Thanks John. I don't think they are available yet in the US but given that they are in the UK it is a good bet they will be.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sports are installed; they feel great! Immediate notice in ride quality and noise, but then again, they are replacing 6 year old Pirelis.

For those running MP SSs, what are the tire pressures you are putting them at? Dealership I told to follow the stock F430 pressures, tire rack told me 32 fronts, 35 rears.

Any pics of the rears? Do they bulge out at all on the stock rims?

    34psi front and 36psi rear.

For track use, drop 8 psi on each corner when cold, because they gain 8-10 psi at a racetrack.

Best all around tire available today for the F430, OEM in the 458 Italia. Immediate improvement on braking, acceleration and cornering. Enjoy them, they last for ages.

I replace my tires every 3 years regardless of tread left, all tires age with time.

    steelej,

do you have a source to share with us here in the US? I wouldnt mind paying the extra shipping. I was thinking re-11's because of the similar performance reported by F430gt and others but really do prefer the MPSS if I can get them in 235/285.

vantage, thanks for returning to your post to share your results.
