so today E-diff warning came on, couldn't shift.. had to be towed.

    2 questions:

    1. does Ferrari have concierge service to pickup and drop off when fixed? Someone told me they did. I got my car from Ferrari of Washington and got the warranty.

    2. e-diff problem looks like I spilled fluids in the back... my buddy behind me said it spilled fluid each time I downshifted... so F1 pump seems ok.. so not as expensive maybe just hose issue. Any ideas if it would be something else?

I had it towed to Ferrari of Washington, it's Sunday noone was there so we'll see.

It's due for annual service anyway hopefully it's covered under the warranty and if so, I'll gladly renew.

    thanks.

Yeah talked to the service advisor at FOW and he agrees it's probably that but they'll check everything. Sounds like should be covered under warranty since it's part of the powertrain.

Shawn said they can't look at it until tomorrow... then he'll call me.

He seems to suggest that it is covered under warranty. I told him I got the letter for yearly service, which is usually the time I renew warranty also... so I could take care of 3 birds with one stone/appointment.

We'll see if I'm right that it's just the hose, not the F1 pump... doesn't sound like it. It was definitely pumping fluid each time I tried to downshift per Blake who was following me as it squirted on his windshield..

so I heard from Shawn at FOW. He said that the hose blew off (he is puzzled how) so the fluids spilled, as I suspected. So not the F1 pump or anything really expensive. He says those hoses are $800 tho!

Yikes. Actually, I'm not sure the F1 pump costs much more. Just more expensive to install.

Which hose blew off? My car just dumped all the fluid and will not go into gear and it is being towed to my independent guy.

Just FYI, a 575M owner had a complete set of F1 hoses made by Goodridge in NC for $140 for all five. An alternative, but you have to send in your old hose(s). These guys do a lot of work for race teams.

Was it stuck in neutral? Curious to know what the process is if it is stuck in gear.

Any reputable hydraulic hose company could make those. I know the company in Mooresville as they are only an hour away. They do all the hoses for the NASCAR teams located there.
I remember an episode of Wheeler Dealers where they purchased a Lamborghini Urraco and needed the clutch hydraulic hose which was no longer available. Mike got one made for about 10 quid.

Stuck in neutral.. If I put in gear stayed in for a min and goes into neutral to make sure you don't damage the system. No fluid.

I need two hoses, there are 5 total.

Greg- Consider going the Goodridge route for all five. The ones they provided to the Maranello owner were also braided steel wrapped so look nice, too. $140 for all five. No need swapping them one or two at a time.

You can get those hoses made at aeroquip in pompano beach.thay made mine for me,just brought them the old hoses and thay made them on the spot.better then factory, you have to be somewhat creative with some of the Ferrari parts or you'll go broke lol.

Greg- I doubt the hoses are the same and they did not keep the records on the hoses for the 575M, at any rate. Owner forgot to ask them to do that. Easy to make from your old hoses. Less than $200 ($140 in this case) beats $5000 any day. Especially for much better hoses. Only want to do this once.
