Every time I take out the 430 for a drive, I always encounter crazy motorist trying to race me, cut me off, or doing some sort of strange things on the road putting me, my passenger, and other motorists in danger.

Well, you're in full control of your recordings. You can just show the edited and sanitized version.

Or dispose of them before anyone who matters knows of their existence.

You may know this, but there are some very clever and inexpensive cameras that continually record the last few minutes. I think it's a great form of insurance.

I've had encounters of "brake checking" and cutting off in what would appear to be trying to cause me to crash into them. Sorry guys...LA sucks from this stuff. They get away with it because of the traffic.

Then again... maybe you want to shut it off too!

    Hi, revisiting this thread...
Im interested in feedback on the installation of the camera, especially the connection to the power supply- which presumably via the cigaret lighting.

Any issues with this on the car??

Zero issues. Have been using the Mobius cam in my car for years now. Just pull the rubber trims off off the A pillar, and reroute the cable neatly.

You have any pic of how you connect to the lighter socket? Or you've done it all within the trims?

Look online for a Contour 2 Roam cam. It has similar quality to the GoPro 2 or 3, but the best part is its price at only $98.

Has a more conspicuous shape/color so you may even want to leave it up while parked.

I just purchased the Papago GoSafe 200. It arrived today.

Video quality is amazing (1080p). Audio quality remains to be heard.

I will go for a drive this weekend to try it in motion and will post my review here.

Can I ask where you live?

I'm here in Seattle and I have had nothing but thumbs up, wave Hi and admiration from fellow drivers, motorists, pedestrians, women, men, kids, etc.

They all love the Ferrari. No one has tried to race me. They all just follow along, pull along side and give me the thumbs up, or they yell "rev the engine please! Let me hear your exhaust!"

I have been using DVR's since 3 years on all of my cars, very useful, you can use it as an evidence and other "interesting" events.

Once a valet parking driver damaged the carbon fiber front lip spoiler on my Mercedes E63 by hitting the pavement then denied and said the damage was there when the car came, I didn't say a WORD just opened the application on my iPhone and showed them the video, and of course they paid for it.

I am using Blackvue HD DR500GW with a rear view external small camera. I will post video samples if you wanted to see.

From my brief experience with this car, the people acting crazy are typically taking their own photos and videos.
