I was out for a drive and some thoughts came to mind...... 1. 2014 is the 10th Anniversary of the CS in the US 2. 2014 is a Ferrari year in Monterey If there is interest, I would be open to organizing a CS reunion tour that would start the week before Monterey and ends at Concourso Italiano, and possibly Laguna Seca. What do you guys think? If interested, PM me and we can get the ball rolling for 2014!
Have you contacted Stokpro? There was rumor that he was putting something together too. Only 4 hours from me so if I can find 93 Octane, I'll be in. Wont drive Laguna though. No cats = way more than 90db. lol
2015 is the year in Monterey not 2014 for the FCA. Pebble Beach won't announce until January 2014 what their 2014 marque is. Ferrari Club of America 2014 Annual Meet
I knew it was coming up, but wasn't sure of the year. If I remember correctly they did the annual meet in '94 and '04 in Monterey. So, '14 for some reason made sense to me. I envision a 5-6 day tour on great roads, excellent hotels and meals, and a track day or two, and then a special CS section at Concourso Italiano. I'll send Stockpro a PM and see what he's up to.
Who needs clubs anyway! Talk to Concorso. They love themed stuff and this would follow suit for their recent 288/F40/F50 annual gatherings.
I was thinking the same thing. I still have a contact there from when we did a Veloce Performance sponsor booth. Lunch this week?
This is starting to get exciting! I do a constant contact newsletter for our local car club (Scuderia SW). I'm thinking of making a CS list and doing a newsletter update as this develops. If you guys want to PM your email addresses, I can start the list and keep you updated.
I'm going to do a Constant Contact newsletter for guys that are interested. So, PM me your email and I'll put you on the list.
The Challenge Stradale Reunion Tour 2014 is starting to take shape: It will be a benefit event and I am narrowing the charities down. Here is the tentative schedule: We will gather in Lake Tahoe with a check in and reception. Next is a touring day on some of the best driving roads in NorCal. I've selected a unique boutique hotel to spend the next 2 nights, with a great restaurant. A track day at Thunderhill... back to hotel for dinner and party. The next day we head to Napa, where I've arranged lunch at a car guy's dream winery, followed by dinner at another, with hopefully a special guest. From Napa we head to Monterey where we will check in and enjoy another first class meal and get ready for Concouso Italiano and our own CS Reunion area. We are getting allot of interest from different companies, so there will be lots of special treats as part of the event. I'm currently costing everything. So, if you've sent me your email, expect a CS reunion newsletter soon.
