Looking to possibly get an addition to my 599 and came across this on ebay. I love the color under the wrap, just wanted to see if anyone knows anything about the car. Overpriced in my opinion for the miles/wrap/lack of history, wanted to see what you guys think:

I'd be reluctant to buy a wrapped car. How can you inspect the paint?

Not sure what to make of it. Ad says clean carfax, no accidents or paint. I picture it as a track car with big blue numbers on the doors. Different in a good way

Yea no way I would get close to 150 on this car. 130 would be stretching it I think....nothing more.

freshmeat....got any more info on the accident?

    2-owner history.

2nd owner lost control. hopped a curb at speed. extensive arm, suspension, wheel etc damage. not sure what else or how the repairs were addressed. probably paid out-of-pocket too so it doesn't show up on carfax.

the car had maybe 2 lives left before the 1st owner sold it to the 2nd owner.

2nd owner had to rebuild the entire f1 transmission upon purchase.

would be a good car to get for spare parts, if the price is right.

Um, was this car in Colorado?

Never mind. I figured it out. The price is not right anyway. Thanks again to the Fchat brain trust for good advice on this one.

wait, i dont get it. dealer and carfax say no accidents/damage but someone here knows otherwise. isnt that fraud on dealers part? cant we put a question to the seller on ebay that would serve as a warning to others?
i will be in market for 458 next year and hope i can get warned off if i find a bad apple

There are so many "clean carfax" cars out there with paint work and accident history.

Pissing in the wind...there are tons of "clear carfax" cars with damage history. DO NOT TRUST some stupid "carfax" or similar. Its not fraud in most cases btw...the service only picks up some accidents, not all accidents. Do your own work.

The dealer website says sale pending on it

Looks like the "pending" notation has been removed. I'll be a contrary voice here. I actually like this car (but you guys know my frame of reference LOL!). Sure, its had an accident, but its not like it has a salvage title ala the Tavarish crumpled heap! If it was fixed correctly, and the price were right, and the ppi checks out mechanically, there is no reason that car could not provides years of fun. I for one think it looks sick as is. No affiliation, but this is hardly the type of car you buy for spare parts LOL! Get it and drive the crap out of it!
