Strange, I am driving down the road and notice the vent near the windshield is pulled up from the dash. I cannot get the black plastic vent to lay flat. Has anybody had to deal with this and able to give me some tips on how to get it re-seated?

I did a search and it states that the dash must be removed to remove the vent due to plastic tabs. If I order another vent, does anybody know if it just snaps into place or is the plastic tabs screwed into something?
    Thanks.

If you are talking about the long, narrow vents on top of the dash (at the base of the windshield) I'm dealing with the same thing. If I recall correctly, I read a recent fchat post mentioning this would require a dash r&r to correct as they are held in w spring clips from underneath that are commonly broken during repairs...

I just went through this with my 360. The vent was warped and I was told by Ferrari service that because it clips from under the dash the only way to fix it is to remove the dash.

OUCH!! I think I will bring the car to a body shop and ask if they have any recommendations to fix the exiting vent without taking out the dash. May be a cheesy fix but better than doing all that work for cheap plastic vent. Thanks for all the help.

I pulled the two cents on the top out the other day. They had 4 plastic clips on each corner. They came out pretty easy and go in almost the same. The vent not sitting flush was from wheni reinstalled it, I did not push it all the way down evenly. I believe I pushed the front more and it mounted uneven.
You may be able to pull it out and reset it. I used a L shaped pick, going in through the vent and lifting up.

I have this exact same problem. This is one on my list of things that I plan to do to the car during the holiday break:
    1. Completely reupholster seats, remove the black piping and replace with tan stitching.
    2. Reupholster the dash, fix those vent thingys.
    3. Have my Capristo exhaust polished.
    4. More car audio stuff.

They pop off because the leather has shrunk. The defroster vents sit down in a depression in the dash and when the leather shrinks from sun exposure it pulls the leather straight and the vents are not strong enough to hold it down.

Using a sun screen at all times when parked out doors will prevent the problem.

That is strange, my vent pulled up when it was just sitting in the garage (which is dark). May be the leather shrinking, but the leather does not look stretched at all. I will take a good look at it today.

Same thing happened to my car, pulled them off, scrubbed the sticky residue off, painted them satin black and stuck them back in. No need to remove dash!

Here's the little bastards they break off with the warping of the vents and the stretching of the leather, you will need to remove dash to replace fit them properly with the spring clips.

Thanks for posting the picture!!! Same kind of crappy clip that holds the Ferrari label on the back of the car (which would be nice to remove to clean and polish).

Well, I would be damn, it is due to the leather. I can feel the leather "bow" where the vent sits. The dash does not show any other signs of shrinkage. Is there any way to get the leather to "relax" where the vent sits?
