I live about 20kms from that dealer and may sneak in there later this evening and will attempt to peel off the SF shields as I don't believe that Mr.Sbarro (let alone Mr.Marchionne) would approve.

P.S. This particular model was first presented at the 2004 Geneva Salon with gold wheels and some black paint on the sides....

As much as we don't like this design, Franco Sbarro runs a Auto design school in Switzerland of all places that and has produced some amazing design and replicas.
He is not constrained by the commercial world of marketing and to be honest I applaud the man and his students for what they have created

I understand "artistic" views but I did not see one design I would applaud. Being an artist doesn't mean the public will accept it.

It always baffles me when someone works that hard to make something so awful.

We are all different in our artistic appreciation, some major Classic paintings leave me wondering what all the fuss is about, it all a matter of taste again like music.
I look at Franco's work like a music Jam Section out of it comes elements that fit the commercial world.
The automotive design world would be a really boring place if it was totally controlled by the marketing department which 99 percent are. Without people like Sbarro and the other Auto design extremist Colani and as he calls it, organic bio-design

I am with you on this. I do not like most of Sbarro's work but that does not matter. Rinspeed also made some strange things....

Also do not forget that these are studies into design but also into production methods and how far/easy it is to put a piece of design in production. That is often a part in design that is overlooked.
