Well, my first front-engined V12 (previous F-Cars were '87 328 GTS and '83 512 BBi Boxer) arrived today - just a day after the worst snow storm we've had in Charlotte in over a decade.

This one cost a little bit more than I had planned, but it had no issues and was fully maintenanced prior to acquiring. It is a 2007 612 HGTS model, with several upgrades. Grigio Silvestone over Cuoio.

The car has been in CA its whole life, and the poor thing got off-loaded onto streets full of snow and ice. (The transport parked onto an adjacent street that wasn't too bad - but, my street was about 4-6 inches of slush). To my amazement, the car plowed right through the mess to my driveway that I spent 2 hours yesterday clearing. Did a better job than my Hyundai Elantra.

I've attached some photos. BTW, they had to off-load two cars first - including a Porsche GT-3 - before getting to mine. Anticipation.

Beautiful. Nice HGTS. Great/classic color combo. Many congrats. I can't wait to see it at one of the FCA events. Are you bringing it to Enzo's birthday party tomorrow in Raleigh?

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, the weather has me in a cautious mode. But, I hope the rest of you have a great time.

Ironically, the day after my Boxer arrived (late '90s), I did travel to Raleigh / Chapel Hill area for a Rally and Lunch. I got to follow an F-40, back when they were around $200K or so. Forgot the doctor who owned it, but he was a very nice guy. Well organized and everyone had a great time.

I'll keep my eyes open for upcoming FCA SE regional events.

Is that a 2007? Looks like it has the radio of the 2005-2006 instead of the more modern and advanced navigation + entertainment system of the 2007 - maybe an early 2007 transition model? Regardless, congrats on what looks like a great car!

I wondered the same thing. I believe the change over occurred around VIN 155101, but not entirely sure. Regardless, the manufacture's sticker shows May 2007 and it does have the 60th Anniversary emblem.

Here is another 2007 which sadly is a salvage: VIN 154714 (mine is 154717, which is very close). This car also does not have the new radio:

Such a stunning example of a wonderful car. Can you tell us the serial number? Also, do you remember the serial number of your Boxer?

Congratulations. Very beautiful car. Use it well. From my memory, they made the change to the radio for the 2008 model year.

Serial number on 612 is 154717. It did not come with the original window sticker - I guess I can request an original build sheet at some point.

I'd have to check my records for the Boxer - it was a 1983 model - Red / Black exterior with Tan interior.

Awesome, thank you. And like you said in your original post, the car has been in California its whole life. It was for sale through Ferrari of San Francisco exactly three years ago, and then again through Lamborghini Los Angeles in June, 2011. Congratulations on a stunning car - I hope that white stuff goes away soon so you can get out there and enjoy your Valentine's Day gift.

Cool; I'd love to know the 328 too.
