I am trying to do 4 cars for the 2017 Ferrari Expo. This is the first, a 1/12th scale Jaguar XKE Cunningham Lemans 1962 based on a resin built model that has a pretty good stock body. I found one damaged and really cheap on ebay. I finished the body modifications and put the first coats of paint on. It still needs blue stripes and race numbers along with many details. My second car wich I will post this week is a 1/12th scale Dino 206 #0842 as raced at Sebring in 1966. Based on a Ultimate Joel Fumey body I bought broken into several parts from a builder in Belgium I had to make most of the parts and early Dino wheels.

No that is the 1/12th Ultimate 206S Dino. I did #0842 as it ran at Sebring in 1966 with 5 spoke wheels. Will show more photos next week.

FPPM 1/24th scale resin kit. It has a full engine and fuel tank. Will post more photos next week. I think he nailed the shape of #0684.

Yes those two gentleman make it happen along with the many helpers. We have a large amount of sports car collectors in the Chicago and Midwest region including people from Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota ect...that attend this show. Just talking to this very knowledgeable group is worth the visit. The vintage cars, books and models make it a must do show for people in the center of the country.

I know that guy! From the Colorado 1000. Hope to see him again this year. A really great guy who patiently let me bend his ear about his great car. :)

Isn't there usually another swap meet in the area on the next day? I don't see one mentioned in the GTR club newsletter.
