For a long time, I've been looking for a quick-release license plate holder for rallies and car shows. I thought about using the clip-on type, but I saw another car with one and there was damage to the grille where it clipped on. I tried the type that screws into the tow hook receptacle, but it looked very aftermarket and I never used it.

After some research, I found a plate holder on Amazon called Sto-N-Sho, but it was not compatible with my car. I gave the company a call, and to my delight, the owner (Big Mike) was willing to work with me to design a custom plate holder. After a series of calls and emails, I sent him an architectural drawing of my front spoiler layout, and he custom fabricated a Sto-N-Sho for my Mondial T.

The all-aluminum, welded construction is nothing like I've ever seen. When installed, there is no rattling or vibration, and it looks stock, just like Ferrari would have made it. When I pull up to a car show, it takes only a second to pull the spring-loaded pin, slip it out, and the mounting hardware is not visible.

I rarely endorsed anything, and I have no affiliation with Big Mike or Sto-N-Sho, but I highly recommend this if your state requires a front license plate. The website is bigmikesperformanceparts.com

Amazing! So far I haven't had any trouble with the plate in the car. Knock on wood.

Looks like a clever solution! Tho some may not be able to mount the holder without mods...

Pretty cool and clever, but looks like something that might hang lower and hit or scrap on driveways?

The mounting bracket adds 3/8" to the front spoiler; total of 7/8" with the license plate frame attached.

90% of the time, I drive with no plate on the front, so it's a minimal risk of scraping it on the ground.

Since this was a custom made piece, the price may vary for future orders. Generally they sell for about $100.
