    Hi all
Love this site, so much info, I'm a bit of a researcher!
I live in Western Australia and life is great, business is going very well and new car could be coming sooner than I hoped, so I am now doing research to find the best (1st) Ferrari for me.
I always told friends my first F-car would be the only one I could ever afford and would be happy to be buried in it, but now my first may be something I can use later to trade up to my ultimate model. Problem with this company is they keep making my ultimate car every couple of years, but I'm getting off track.
My first and I feel the most obvious choice was a clean 360 modena or for a bit more there are F430 and Challenge Stradale's but here is my complaint. Here in Oz a nice 360 is about $130k AUD and a Challenge Stradale or F430 about $220k AUD but I'm seeing these cars in America for easily $60k less than in Australia, Our dollar is about the same at the moment and the cars must be similar price new in both countries so why the huge price difference today?

Tax. I have the import approval for my 355, it is going to cost around $40,000 in tax to send it home. I wonder what will happen to LCT once Holden closes it's doors?

the distributors of most luxury cars here are raping the locals, taxes are high but they KNOW they can get away with these ridiculous prices for new cars and that affects the flow on prices to the 2nd hand cars.

Even if you add up all the taxes you can still not get to the $700k+ asking price for a 458, 612, F12, etc until you see the profit margin from the distributor

355s are sub $40k cars in the US and the UK, here they are still fetching $100K+ and add $50K on top of that for 355Chs due to the fact they can be driven on our roads as well as the track, a rare anomoly here .

360s are cheaper because of all the UK imports of late so the bum has dropped out of the 360 market
