This project has taken a lot longer than I thought but my first run of tow eye adapters are ready to ship. As you may know, the OEM tow eye supplied in our tool kits hits the bumper when try to thread it in and you can only get about one turn of thread before it stops. They add 2" of length to your original, too short to work, tow eye. (My buddy Hank said they only needed to be 1" longer, but my Wife said it should be 2" longer, so I am going with her opinion. It just occurred to me that she may have been talking about something else, but they are done so.........) Unfortunately, all of the first run are sold, so I am taking orders now for a second run. Please PM me if you want one for $69 shipped CONUS. I don't need any money right now, just a commitment to buy one in a week or two when I get the second run done. 1st and second production runs are sold out, working on the third. Please send me a PM if you want one. I also make some very nice #8000 rated tow straps that thread into the tow eye receiver to be used in place of the tow eye and will save you from bending your valuable tow eye. PM me for info on those.
Third run is done and I have 4 left from this production that are not spoken for. Please PM me to order. Mondial thread here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/499703-who-wants-tow-eye-adapter-extension.html#post144351176 Thanks to everyone for their support on this project. I also have #8000 rated tow straps available for the same price. They thread into your tow eye receiver and eliminate the possibility of using, and probably bending, your valuable EOM tow eye. PM me for pics of the straps. Alden
I have more adapters ready to ship and the price has dropped to $59 shipped. Everyone who bought one at the original higher price gets a free tow eye receiver thread protector, just shoot me a PM. I also found out that these work for the TR's as well, they suffer from the same, short OEM tow eye. #8000 rated tow straps available too for $69 shipped. Alden
Bump, I still have a few adapters available. These work for your TR and Mondial. Don't get caught with your too short, unusable OEM tow eye. $59 or $69 with thread protector! Tow straps available for $59 too. Alden Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bump. Tow eye adapters are now $59 with a free thread protector in red (to make the receiver hole visible and easy to find behind the grill) or black (to make it not so visible in place,) your choice! Alden
Bump. Still available for $59 with a free thread protector! Get one BEFORE you find out your tow eye for your Mondial or TR is too short on the side of the road! Alden
Bump! It is true: Your Ferrari supplied OEM Mondial and TR tow eyes are too short! This solves the problem! Tow straps are great too. Don't wait until Bubba has to pull you out the ditch with his F-150, be prepared so nothing gets bent or torn off your car! Aldenof
Bump for another stocking stuffer. Tell your SO to get one for you "before" she/he asks why you don't have one to get you out of the ditch! Alden
A reminder to you TR guys - your tow eye is too short as well! This adapter works for both Mondials and TR's. Tow eye adapters and straps now available for $59 each, shipped in the CONUS. You can pick your strap - cavallino or script identification. Alden
Necropost! Found them in the garage! I still have some of these tow eye extenders and tow straps available. Alden
warning warning warning! Someone just let me know that someone is trying to hijack my payment for these items, he received an email below, please be careful the jerks are out there, all over the place! Also a reminder to never post your email address here or on any other site, that's how these ***holes find you. Alden View attachment 3844900 Image Unavailable, Please Login
The email address "[email protected]" was previously reported in the scam thread: Note that there doesn't seem much that the site can do except broadcast the email address as a warning. But these are burner email addresses which will be written off for the next one. As you noted, users' personal email addresses often get harvested if posted indiscriminately and used to send solicitations outside of the Fchat system. Using the Fchat PM system to conduct the transaction at least guarantees that the user is logged into an Fchat account and not a total stranger, but we've also had user accounts hijacked by scammers for a few hours or days before it gets reported and dealt with, leaving a window of opportunity for a scam. So it's pretty much up to users to be always aware and cautious.
