Does anyone know some history on this black Mondial t Coupe? Right now it's at Palm Beach Exotic Collection and has been in Florida since 1991. There aren't any records other than what's in Carfax. The poor car is in dire need of a restoration and since it's one of 42 US spec models is probably deserving of one.

I can imagine that only a handful of black and grey t Coupes were produced so any responses and PMs will be greatly accepted.

    Thanks in advance.

Seller indicates no documentation of the service history for a 64K mile car. Claims was owned by "Vanilla Ice", so that would be an additional deduction in price, yes?

If he took care of it like he took care of his boat I'd run away from it! My brother sold him a 70' +- Trojan he didn't wait for my brother to do the sea trail. The boat was towed back in 6 or 7 hours later with two blown engines/transmissions and one of the props ripped off!

Funny, he didn't mention anything about Mr. Van Winkle to me lol That would explain the "butt print" (concave valance)... nothing's as BAAAD as sitting on your Ferrari.

I've read that only 42 were imported, one for each Dealer. It would be interesting to know which one this car went to.

Just because that year they only imported 42 cars as Coupes does not make the car valable. In fact, the reason they only imported 42 was that nobody wanted them then and since then nothing has changed much.

Maybe the owner had Vanila Ice (creme) in the car once and you misunderstood that as ownership. :)

Value is about the same as my 365 (one of only few produced that year...)

As a long term project car I want it badly but they're asking way too much. Although the motor and trans are strong there are too many things wrong with this car. Plus the rust may have killed it for me...

Thanks Martin, for the reality check. Actually, my interests were in the history of the car itself, not necessarily in who owned it. I've never been known for having a "common" car so this car would fit me to a... (sorry).

Completed by Ryan at RS Autosports and, from the report, it's almost worth more in parts than as a whole.

my point exactly! :) You got $300 in steal, $100 in aluminum, $100 in wheels so $400, there is your 'worth'.
Oh no, wait.... the engine is worth $1000 as a nice display.
