From a different FChat thread. When I saw them for the first time, I thought this was a kit car. Didn't realize somebody actually did this for real.
There was a doctor in Augusta GA that had about 30 Ferrari's all new with virtually no miles but he sold off his collection in the late 80's. As did another man here in Atl that had 7-8 that went to Saudi in 90--but he still has about 10 ac cobras. Currently I would have to think that Ralph Lauren has one of the best collections in the US--think he is at about 45-50 cars--at least 2 250 GTO's 3-4 Daytonas, 1 of the 2 61 TR's ,1 275 NART spyder-------- all at 100points show conditions.
Mr Jaques Swaters also owns the one of a kind Pinin 4-door Ferrari, a 246 GT Dino, 250 GTE and a 375 Plus.
Matsuda-san buys one of everything that Ferrari makes, hence the GT4. Every bike, tool kit, misc. trinket, he has to have it.
Tom Stegman in Cincinnati has a very nice, not large, collection of some significant cars. My favorite is the 250LM, I believe it is the original prototype. My old mechanic is now his private mechanic and caretaker of his collection.

That top middle one thats orange I believe. Is that a Lamborrari? Haha looks like both, I really can't tell which it is.
The sultans collection is most likely collecting dust now as Brunei is not enjoying the same financial success it once did. It is reported however that the sultan of Brunei did buy at least one Enzo and probably more than one. He supposedly has an F40 and F50 in every color. "That top middle one thats orange I believe. Is that a Lamborrari? Haha looks like both, I really can't tell which it is." Thats the Ferrari Mythos and it does look a lot like a lamborghini which is probably part of the reason ferrari didn't produce it. Some sources say that The sultan has six Ferrari Fxs but some say that only three were made.
It´s the storage warehouse of modena-motorsport in Langenfeld Germany. For more info look at www.modena-motorsport.de. At this point of time it`s the only F1 clienti service outside of Maranello. The cars pictured do not form a single collection, but are partly stock of Modena and partly client cars kept there for servicing. All cars are run regularly at about 6 events per year, the last ones being Spa Ferrari Days and Historic GP Monaco. The storage area is in general not open to the public, but if you ask, the answer might be yes... DB

I have heard that a guy named Jerry Moore in Houston has or had an incredible car collection. I read that when a new Ferrari model came out he would buy one in every color it was available in. He not only had Ferraris but many other makes as well.
Great collections, especially the Matsuda one. I love that 288 GTO Evoluzione. I'll post some pictures from dutch Ferrari importer Kroymans' private collection. I've seen it several years ago, and it's quite impressive. It contains at least one 250 GTO, which he uses to race as well ("Ferrari's were made for driving, so I drive them")
