thanks, Russ - no, but almost - during a race in New Hampshire (the old Briar Motorsport Park) a shift fork in the transaxle broke, so he limped back to Cambridge (yep, drove it to and from the races) achieving shifts w/ a long screwdriver through the transaxle filler hole to move the selector rods. The filler hole is below/next to the driver's left hip.

I always thought it was kind of strange for Ferrari to snag the name of a 4 cyl sports racer to name their new 2+2; 4 seats recalling 4 cylinders maybe???

If you ever have a chance to hear Russ's (snj5) carbureted 3.2, take it - steroids, baby.

Here is my car with new 355 wheels. I still like the stock wheels, but I'm going to use these for a while for a more modern look.

If you're looking for a Mondial t Coupe - - look no further!!! It's not about the dollars - - yes, you will pay more for high quality - - but, in the end - from the beginning - you get so much more. By the way, this is all "gut feeling".

    Happy Holidays & Cheers, Hank

    Hi Patpong,

I drove to the park that morning and it was quite nice. The rains came later - but nobody seemed to care. If you have a top - - put it up!! No problemo!! I actually enjoy "Rachel" whether she wears her top or not!!!
God, do I love this car?????

To you and your family, Health & Happiness,
    Hank

All the best for the festive season and a happy new year to all.

Looks like I might be off to Fort Worth in Texas this February, my wife's cousin is to get married. I plan a week, anyone any ideas as what else we can do around this area. We were planning a trip to New York but that would be cancelled if we go to this wedding.

Car looks neat Tom. I like the wheels too. Considered changing mine. My car has the air intakes in black, I definately like them colour coded. It seems an awful lot of F cars are attracting the Ferrari logo badges on the wings/fenders though I'm pretty sure this is not standard, but again think it looks neat. Mine has also had one below the Mondial Quatravolve badge on the rear.

I really wanted a 308 or even 348 (355 is way to expensive for me, though one of the best looking cars in the world), but all the Mondials here are making me realise how good they are.

    Haccord, very nice Mondi!
Doesn't matter to me how many people say they are unattractive, slow, etc.
    These are THE bargain Ferraris:
    Low cost
Seats 4 in a pinch, and or lots of storage space
    Handles great
    Sounds good
    Fun to drive
    LOOKS great (IMO!!).

    So ummm... what's the problem??

    Hey Sam,
Merry Christmas to you and the family! The reasons that you stated are exactly why I love the Mondial. Most people don't understand, the practicality, value, sound and great looks. A friend of mine has a Mondial Cab. His father-in-law has a number of Ferrari's. The 1st time I went for a ride, I was hooked. Loved the idea of the back seat. Only a handful of cars come to mind when you want a back seat (in a cab), and Mondial is one of them. Truly a classic thats under appreciated and I really believe under valued. Before I bought my F-car, the Mondial was considered right up to the last minute. Don't regret what I bought, but I still have a soft spot for the Mondi. See you in spring at the next outing.

    Regards,
    Gary

I agree wholeheartedly with you. That was why I bought one. Only other real contender was a late 70's 308 GTB. My wife preferred the Mondial (just) and 2+2 seemed a more practical choice. Love the car and can't wait for summer.
As for looks and performance for the money I paid, nothing on the market brand new today could match it.

    I would love a 355 though :)

I'll post more photos when I get back to Shanghai (and have a better photo editor than the one on my laptop), but here's our Mondial with her big V12 sister.
