Ok, I will give you that one.

Shame on you my righteous brother! Did I see you post about the MC12? Fair enough it is built upon the Enzo, but its not an F-car. Shame on you! How off-topic and out of character. See ya Ash, no more off topic posts for you!

Braedon, Brandon, Braeden, what the heck. Its all the same. I guess Dingo could get it right every time by referring to you as "troll". For your reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

ahh the mc12, yes, can you see the similarities between it and the enzo? OFCOURSE! but does a piece of japanese machinery relate to an enzo? apart from the obvious, e.g. wheels, engine...... IT LACKS PASSION

Ok , this topic has gone through so many different variations at the momen, i figure ill change it a bit more

"IT LACKS PASSION" please define this intangible passion everyone talks about. I personally beleive the passion lies with the owner, and their appreciation of the car,

anyone else have an opinion on this?

im not sure if there is a scientific explanation, but in prcatically all japanese cars its obvious, something is just missing no matter how fast they may be, Ferrari is a family. Just hearing the name Ferrari...When I hear the name Toyota, its just nothing, just another car maker

Also the car makes the person, not the other way round

    "the car makes the person"

I sincerely hope youre joking, because if someone needs a car to define themself, i feel a little sorry for them. Cars are something we all (on this board) appreciate, but i think if someone needs a car to define themself, then theres something wrong.

I beleive your family and friends are what make the person, how you contribute to society, and what you do, define the person, and not what material goods you can purchase. Because lets face it, anyone with a big wallet can go out and but a 360, does that automatically make them something?

If you think that perhaps having a car like a ferrar makes you something, then perhaps that is the final answer to the question that was posed in the beginning of this post????

Yes Japanese cars are made in mass to make a sustainable profit for its companies, however somewhere along the line of production, someone was passionate about a particular vehicle, and i beleive this to be true in the case of many Japanese cars, MX5, NSX, WRX, EVO, Tommy Kiara, as someone felt strongly at some stage to push to have these cars developed in such a way. And perhaps the reason cars any of the above mentioned (except perhaps Tommy Kiara, as they are not a mass manufacturer) cars sell so well is because often the purchasers are enthusiasts and have a passion for cars, or specifically for a MX5 or WRX.

So i think just because a car is reliable, cheap, and mass produced does not mean that there is no passion about it. When i was 17 or 18, the word toyota did send my heart racing, as i did have a real passion for them, and i still hold fond memories of all of my previous corolla's sprinter etc.

maybe i wasnt too clear, what i meant was that the car reflects who you are, so depending on what car you have it shows who you are and your personality....unless your name is lindsay fox

nope, that's exactly what we thought you meant.

just get the car you like and can afford, forget what people think, as you'll find you are one of the few who thinks a car makes a difference to who someone is. you'll notice that nearly everyone doesn't care a great deal what you drive... they'll want to know, but don't confuse curiosity with sincere interest.

as for the people who see who you are based on what you have, you'll find that those are the people you don't really want to associate with anyhow.

there we have it saved by the bell: all talk of oil depletion gone, John has werked out that the malfunctioned corporation called mitsubishi has now gone to hydro electric for its cars, i can't wait for a water cooled and powered Magna or better still Sigma or even better than that the old greek favorite the VH Valiant with 225 ci slope 6 in purple of course with the dice and velour dash and the ever popular 3 on the floor manual.

and we in SA even had VK Valiant Chargers as police interceptors,

lets get a grip on reality, i drive and collect F cars cos i wanna do it, whether i'm gonna get my bat sucked because i do is irrelevant (will always accept offers though) but really if some turkey thinks of me as tool cos of wot i drive please i ask them to give it to me in writing (then i know where i stand), but who cares. and to the cafe cruisers (and u know who u are) ((god knows we have enuf hairdressers in Adelaide)) come and join a crew that enjoy the hills on a brisk morning, if owning an exotic is based on which Latte shop u drink at, then it is they who need to get a life, there r some of us who love to drive and at times hard then when its all over have some brekky head home and download pics and vids cos to us its a passion and nothing else, we are definitely not viewed as wankers cos but if we all parked on the Parade @ Norwood or Rundle St then yep we would qualify....we dont- we park in a quaint town and talk **** and admire what we have just done....drive.
