Who would have thought that pre-Turkey day weather could be so great here in CO? In the 70s yesterday, and even better weather today prompted me to take back-to-back drives in the car with the top off Earlier today my wife was talking with her mom back in VA where we moved from, and they are stuck in the 30s with slick frozen roads with possible snow later on tonight. She mentioned to her that I was going to take a spin in the car "topless", and her mom was in disbelief. Who would have thought to head to CO for warm weather and sunshine? -Mike C.
I hear ya man. I've been out in the 328 three out of the past three days, top off. On each drive, it occured to me that here I was cruising around in late November. Absolutely gorgeous. Amazing, this place, eh?
I have parked my car for the winter about a dozen times so far! It has been beautiful up here in the mountains still. The road... it calls to me. I just hope that when the weather does turn, we get some real snow. My wife would like my ski stuff out of the living room! Happy thanksgiving everyone!
Yes indeed. We have been out almost every afternoon for the past week or so, just left the top on the car. The other day my son was home sick from school, so only my daughter needed to get picked up. My wife ended up taking our Speedster to go pick her up, and telling me how nice the day was (this from somebody who never thinks it is warm enough). After hearing that, and with it being in the 70s again I decided that the top *needed* to come off for a drive. Seeing how we are a bit south of you "Denver folks", we have missed the snow so far this year. Now that I think about it, we have had perhaps 2 "bad" days of weather since August. After having a similar conversation that my wife & mother-in-law had with some friends back east they no longer think I moved to CO, and headed to the islands! I'm sure it will get cold here sooner or later, but no complaints so far. Looks like Turkey Day is shaping up for another top-off drive Happy Thanksgiving everyone! -Mike C.

They must be celebrating to be alive after today. We have a bunch of 'em around here as well. They often stop traffic. Note to Colorado newcomers.... Evidently many of you are not familiar with what we call winter in installments. The installments start labor day and end memorial day. But the sunny days in the 60's and 70's in January really help with the winter blahs. If you put your car away, you will be really mad at yourself in January when a few warm days come around. Dave
Bringing the old thread back to life... Topless drive on Christmas, Topless drive yesterday, would have done it again today for the tri-fecta, but got busy with other stuff getting ready to go snowboarding tomorrow... The relatives who came in from out of town are in shock the weather beats what they got at home. Well, all but my brother-in-law who live on the coast in SoCal, although he is impressed with the temps here in SoCO.
I was surprised--almost 70 degrees on Christmas day! Then, the next day, I took my dog up to Boulder for a little hike. On the way there, I saw a woman riding her bike with a spaghetti-strap shirt on! Crazy weather Colorado has.
