A very original car, 1927 GT, spent its life from August 1960 until May 2005 in Switzerland with only two owners from new. It has now found a new home on the U.S. East Coast and will be carefully preserved. The green interior is original. The Pinin Farina Body #29480 and #480 (abbreviated) have been found on the hood and trunk lid.

Marcel, those are great pics of a fabulously looking car. Would you mind if I would use some of those pics for drawing purposes?

    Marcel,

Was 1097 broken up recently? Is it in the NE USA - if so it may be a car I was aware of? What became of the body and chassis of 1097? It looked like a very nice car.

As said in my post: In Switzerland (Europe). It is here in Toffen near Berne. Yes, it is/was a very nice car and it is a shame it was broken up.

Yes, these are very recent pix. No, the remnants are not for sale. Owned by a major Swiss collector who will use it as a parts car.

    Marcel,

Thank you for the quick response.

At the time you took the pictures, the body and chassis were still intact. What became of these?

    Regards,

    Art S.

PS. I'm glad to hear it's not the car I thought it was.

    Thanks Marcel,

Is the picture of 2081 taken when owned by the new owner or the before it was sold through Mike Sheehan? Personally I like its tatty condition, it gives it character (well maybe too much character...).

    Regards,

    Art S.

PS. Do you have any info on my car (330 2+2) 7919, I know that it was delivered to NY in Dec '65.

    Marcel,

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or were the pictures of 1097GT taken at different times? It looks like there is a body from a 1950s sports racer facing forward in the top picture, and then in the one below it there appears to be a body from a coupe (not sure what kind of car) facing backward, with a 250GTE behind that. What are those two (one?) red cars? Thanks for all the pictures BTW they are great!

Well, when I saw it at Moroso it was for sale but not by Sheehan. I think it was before Sheehan sold it.

No tricks here. In the back is a silver GTE, a red Boano and the body of a 750 Monza. All pix taken at the same time.

Oh, boy! I have never liked Ferrari Chat so much until the advent of this string.

This is 0997GT. The last car (to best of my knowledge) to change hands way below $50 around 2003 in the condition you see it here, except the engine was disassembled.

It sat in a dark corner in a garage in the Northeast (US) for quite some time waiting for its engine. A friend’s tenacity and persistence pried the car out of that dark corner. The car still sits on its drum brakes.

Sicard is assembling the engine at the present. When this car is done the owner will have had a heck of a buy.
