In April we are getting married and we would like to use our 308 GT4 as our wedding car. It is a 45 minute drive from our home to the wedding ceremony, partly on the highway. On this special occasion we would like to have some flower arrangements on the car.

Anyone with experience in this, what is the best location and way to attach flowers to the car, if any? What did you use and do you have any pictures to show?

Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

I once saw a 308 transporting the bride to a wedding, the car had flowers on the wipers and grill and they were all tied on with ribbon

You're better off tying some ribbon and bows to the car. At highway speeds, flowers are liable to fly off.

A good friend of mine asked me to be best man at his wedding this September. Guess what the car of choice for that day is going to be.

    I don't know, man.

Years from now when you two are split, do you really want memories of her tied into your Ferrari?

    Yes, I'm being a jerk :D :D

Congrats and all that, and I think you should use it.

I know those "wedding car business" use magnetic things to keep the flowers on the car. Think your flowerist knows how to handle this matter.

Yes, we got married on April 14th 2006, with our 308GT4 as our weddingcar. We had a great day with some sunshine, a lovely ceremony and a nice buffet to celebrate.

Technical details: The flowerarrangement on the car was attached via a little device on a box that sucked itself vacuum to the car by pulling two handles to either side. It could be removed when wanted without leaving a scratch or stain. One had to slide back the pushed out handles under the box to lift the vacuum, and remove the piece.

    Enjoy the pictures!

LOL. We will be married 12,5 years very soon. (We celebrate 12,5 years in the Netherlands, also 25, 50, 60 and 70 years of marriage)

I used mine but when it came time to actually move the bride in a car we elected to use my cousins rental mustang.
    1. It wasn't going to leave a scent on her.
    2. it wasn't going to leave any marks or stains on her dress
    3. we were going to another beach location for pictures, then coming right back, and we wanted to be quick and easy. Bambina isn't easy!!!!
    4. we were staying at the hotel for the wedding and I wouldn't be getting in the car for some grand exit. But we did have to stuff her with all the bags and extras we needed to remove from the wedding. We fit a surprising amount in the car. We were stopped and congratulated by everybody when we made our stops on the way home. Everything looked perfect!

3 years later we're divorced... Make sure she's the right one! PS - During our breakup wanted to force me to sell the car which was there before and after my time with her.

In all sincerity, best wishes. If you're driving at all put the flowers on the dash and rest them outside when you get there... or tape them by the back window in the low pressure area where the wind won't tear them apart.

I had a vintage Jaguar Limo at my wedding (1989)... well it was there... it looked great outside the church... we had our pictures on it / in it etc... but the Prince of Darkness showed up and it wouldn't start... took my father-in-law's Cadillac limo (welcome to the family) and left the Jag parked there with him to figure out what to do... so while not a Ferrari... lesson from the day is to have a back up plan when using a classic car!
