Fashion Island Exotic Meet 2/11/06

I've been to CC at least 5 times now..I can't get enough of it. Sportscarnut, I live near you I have to wake up at 4:30 and get ready too. After the show's over, I head out to my uncle's house and just start sleeping. CC really is an awesome event, with many awesome people! I think every friday night, I'll stay at my uncle's in Irvine and come out to CC every week.. That'd be awesome We should really do a San Gabriel Valley Caravan

 

I do not, nor does my family, act like elitists but when i go to CC i don't care to see the new '06 vette, i can see 15 of them by just driving 3 miles anywhere in OC. I have owned 3 vettes so it's not that i don't care for the car. I have had a '66 mustang, '69 GTO, '82 Jag, '83 308GTSI and now have a '95 348 spider. I want to see other excotics, Ferrari or not, and the new Mustang/Vette just don't fit that bill.

FI would be great too, I live in NC and still can't seem to get my ass out of bed by 6:30 to get to CC by 7. Maybe FI could start at 7:30? That half hour doesn't seem like much.......unless your trying to get out of bed!!

PS- loved the impromptu rally i hooked with to The Yard House in LB a few weeks back!! Great group of people!

 

Security at fashion island today, owned me. After i crystal cove i went to fashion island because i was going to take some pictures of my car from the top level at the parking structure. Infront of the structure there was this sweet looks CLS already in a nice spot for a photo opportunity. So i park on the side and snap a few pictures of it. As im taking some pictures a security guy rolls up and tells me i can't take pictures here. I say ok and take another picture. He blocks my car and writes down my europlate number. I was confused so i just left. xD

I see that CLS often at FI, I've seen a number of custom CLS's at FI for some reason...

Every security has power issues, I was doing a project and filming outside stores and security freaked out on me... It was the one guy who has one huge ear and a normal one...

 

So, did it happen? Any pix?

I second that . I like the Fashion Island location better (it's simply closer ), so I'll make an appearance sometime with a couple of buddies if this is going to be a weekly thing .

 

$5 Starbucks card? Were they handing them out or something? I knew I should have gone in there. Sorry this isn't catching on, but if CC keeps filling the entire lot every week, this makes sense as an overflow location or for people who just want to meet up, have breakfast and maybe do a run afterwards. Especially if they want to sleep in a bit. Not necessarily a show, but a true meet. Not for the spectators. More for the drivers.

And about the cops at CC: keep within the posted speed limit, don't make that illegal left into or out of the center entrance, avoid squeeling your tires when you leave, don't park in the first row by Starbucks if you plan on staying longer than it takes to eat breakfast, and don't have a For Sale sign or brochures on your car as always. Follow the rules and you shouldn't have any problems.

 

Why don't you try to set up FI for Sundays?
