#0257EU, should be like this. Now it says "elangiV" on front fenders...
With David's permission, I am in the process of displaying many of his photographs on my website. To see the galleries so far, have a look at: http://www.scuderia.cc/david-castelhano-collection/index/default.htm Manny, if you check out the Lime Rock gallery you will notice a picture of your 250MM s/n 0348MM! I would imagine Marcel has shown it to you already, but if not enjoy! -Jarrett www.scuderia.cc
Thanks Jarrett. I have never seen the photo. Very interesting! Also, I had not known of the 1958 Lime Rock history. The race is not listed on Barchetta.cc.. I will have to check Massini's history.
here is a pic of 0257EU that shows the cavallino in the wrong direction too. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My posted photos of 0257EU were scanned from slides. During one of our debates we projected the slide on a large white wall and saw the yellow Ferrari emblem on the nose to be correctly oriented and the horse on the grille to be backwards. It was always (30 years) a great curiosity to a family of advid car nuts. I would also like to publicly thank Jarrett for all of his hard work and meticulous attention to detail. His website is great and enthusiam for Ferrari boundless. I will be traveling for a week and unable to post any new photos until I get back. It is up to the rest of you to keep this thread going. The 512M above is 1028. This was my first 512 and probably all time favorite. I sold it to Harald Mergard many years ago. The car is simply incredible from front to back. Regarded by most as the single most correct and proper surviving 512M left. (1006 is the best surving S and definately the most correct, best history 512S or M bar none. That one now lives in Lime Rock, CT.) Cheers, Bill Noon
Marcel's book quotes #0257EU as LHD and the photo in his book also is LHD. Maybe Marcel could add some info? Also I must admit all my other pics of #0257EU are RHD. Here's an example. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Marcel's book is wrong : 0257EU is clearly RHD. The front picture in his book is reversed but the 3/4 rear picture is good and shows RHD.
Garage Francorchamps (J. Swaters) in Ixelles, Brussels in the time they drive the cars from Marenello to Le Mans just before the 24hours...good old times! Image Unavailable, Please Login

First pic = 0502M Second pic = 0546LM Both owned by Bill Doheny in late 1955-early 1956 when these pics were taken.
if someone got a great picture of Peter Collins, could you please post it. (one of the most famous fro me is this one inside the book "Cliente que gente") thanks in advance
Nothing escapes you does it Marcel.... Oh and Christian, i have a lovely original photo of the great Mr Collins, face to face with Fangio. Will scan and post later!!
Yes, Cyril. True. Unfortunately the publisher stupidly reversed the front picture of 0257 EU on page 150 of my Vignale book. The car is RHD. Marcel Massini
I've had fierce debats with some printers about whether pictures may or may not be transposed to create more balanced layouts in books/magazines. I still can't believe some "professionals" refuse to see the point and really seem to think it makes no difference, nobody will notice and so on... Best wishes, Kare
pics of 0257EU were taken in FF40 event in Brussels (at the Parc du CInquentenaire) in sept. 1992 to celebrate the 40 years anniversary of Garage Francorchamps. Here are two other pics, the car is clearly RHD Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
