Yes I think so, BRDC International Trophy at Silverstone on May 12 1962, Ireland driving for UDT Laystall Racing team in a Ferrari 156 F1 chassis 0001, 4th place
I need some help from the F1 Tifosi on this one. It says 1963 but I am not sure it is even a Ferrari? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sue about this one...the helmet looks too old for the car. I don't think it is Ireland driving...
330LMB at Bridgehampton in 1963. This car was actually a bronze color when new. I am fairly sure it was driven by Dan Gurney at one point. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Re car #16 in post 528 Check the middle row of this webpage, far right photo of this same car competing at Silverstone 1963 carrying the number 10 http://media.latphoto.co.uk/index.php?ctrl=search&ctrl2=images&ctrl3=&page=2&terms=%22ferrari+156%22&show=12 and check the signage and buildings from this site (sorry I cannot link directly to the photo: http://www.sutton-images.com/ click on search entire archive, enter "france and 1963" in search box, go to second page/first image of Jim Clark Lotus 25 in the same corner of Reims The 330LMB is chassis 4453SA, same car Gurney/Hall ran at LeMans. Gurney finished 3rd overall in #47 at Bridgehampton on 9/15/1963. The day before he scored Cobra's first ever World Championship of Makes win, the Bridgehampton 500.
It's indeed a different helmet then on the picture in Alan Henry's book Ferrari The Grand Prix Cars page 155.
Here is a site with a photo of Ireland with a helmet with a different shape but the graphic design is the same (although quite dirty/oily in the photo of car #9). http://www.f1-geschichte.de/fahrer/i/irelandinnes.html
Ireland certainly drove this car and finished 4th - details as per Jan Biekens post - the 156 only appeared once in this guise. I'm not aware of another driver even trying the car. Ireland was quite widely regarded by Enzo F. According to Piloti che Gente "Ireland was a reckless genius...he surely could have gone much further had he wanted to." Nathan
Hi Paul, In the article Ireland writes: "Across its bow was a pale green stripe, a nice gesture by Ferrari. " So I still think it's the car only the helmet is different (number 9 looks more or less the same). He is also writing that he drove in the wet and in the rain. Could it be he changed helmets from pratice to the race ? Or did somebody else did a lap during practice ?
Good possibilities Jan. I've zoomed in on the face and the front nose. I pressume they are 3 Agip signs? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Paul I think it's Ireland if you compare the two pictures. What do you think ? If yes it means he changed his helmet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Without doubt Jan, it is Innes. I have cropped and blurred your picture and pasted it next to mine. Not only is it Innes, but the helmet is exactly the same without doubt. Quite a unique photo then i think. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bert, great photos, thanks for sharing. Here is Innes at Sebring in 1962. Image Unavailable, Please Login
